Minako stared at the screen of her laptop replaying the same video over and over again. It was the video where All Might's true form was revealed after his fight with All For One. The symbol of peace who saved her and who she secretly looked up to ever since turned out to be just like the rest of people.

Minako examined him during the aftermath. He looked weak yet strong as he spat out blood exhausted from the fight. She watched as his arm suddenly slowly raised pointing at the camera. "Next..." he paused, "Next, it's your turn." He weakly said with his head facing down. Those words kept echoing throughout Minako's mind.

She remembered the first time she heard him say those words as she watched it live on TV. Those four words inspired everyone to keep on having faith in the symbol of peace. People cheered at that message almost even crying, but those words made her chest feel heavy as if she was about to cry but she didn't let it happen. She held it all in. Seeing him in that state hurt her deeply though she would never openly admit it.

"Minako! Someone's here to see you!" Her caretaker, Yuri, yelled out from downstairs. Minako closed her laptop and walked down stairs seeing All Might waiting for her. He gave her a small smile. "I see you started going to school at UA."

"Mhm." She nodded as she sat down on the bottom steps of the stairs. All Might joined her, sitting down next to her. "Gee, you've grown so much since the first time I saw you. You were like 10 years old huh?" He chuckled rubbing her the top of her head.

The first time they met, she thought.

"It's okay I'm here to help." He said comfortably. "What's your name?" He asked.
"M-Minako."
"Minako huh? That's a pretty name." He smiled trying to make her feel better.
She stayed quiet still trembling from the cold. All Might noticed this, so he grabbed a blanket from the police car and wrapped it around her tiny body. As he was doing this he looked into her eyes. Fear. Fear was all he could see in her eyes. "Can you tell me what happened?" He asked softly crouched in front of her. He noticed the little girl was trying to hold in her tears but no longer could as she started to cry and jump on to hug him. She hugged him tightly as cried into his shoulder. "There, there. It's okay to cry, my dear." He comforted her.

The police then took her to the station to question her. She refused to answer any of the questions they would ask her. This was until the cops asked All Might to ask her the questions seeing as he was the only one she seemed to trust. "What happened?" He asked again as she didn't answer the first time. "My parents." She sniffled, "They're dead. He killed them right in front of me." She managed to get out, her voice almost cracking. All Might looked at her empathetically. How can someone do this to a little girl, he thought.

"Did you see who killed them?" He asked uncomfortably not wanting to upset her anymore but knew he had to so he'd be able to help her. "No. He was covering his face." She responded crying. "Was it one of the men we caught?" He continued to question. "No. They weren't the ones who did it. The man who did it asked them to go outside and guard or something." All Might furrowed his eyebrows in thought.

Why would someone do such a thing?

"How's it been living with Yuri?" He asked snapping Minako out of her thoughts. "Well she's not annoying so good I guess..." she responded getting a laugh from All Might. "Well that's good." He smiled. "I knew I picked the perfect person for you! Me and her were good friends back in the day." He said as he pulled Minako into a side hug making her groan. "Riiiight. I forgot you hate being hugged." He laughed knowing damn well she didn't like hugs, but he just knew she needed one once in a while.

All Might had always wished to be the one to take care of her. If it wasn't for his busy hero life and his current training with Deku to become the next number one hero, he would've love to take of her. He had grown attached to her even seeing her as his own daughter. He would visit her to see how she was doing.

"Don't take it personal." She told him as she softly pushed him with her shoulder as a sign of affection. All Might just looked at her while thinking. "What?" She questioned as to why he was staring at her. "You know ever since I met you... I've never seen you smile." He stated causing Minako to roll her eyes. "Why does that matter?" She asked. "You wanna know why I always smiled in my other form?"
"Not really." She replied jokingly. All Might rolled his eyes and nudged her. "Someone once told me that no matter how scary things get, give 'em a smile, as if to say, 'I'm a-ok' because the people in this world who can smile are always the strongest." He said giving her a proud smile as he was reminiscing about his mentor. "That's kind of offensive." She stated. "Wha- How??" He asked nervously never intending to offend her. "Well first, you tell me I never smile and then you go on to say that the people who smile are always the strongest. Are you telling me I'm not strong?" All Might's face turned red in embarrassment as he quickly waved his hands in the air. "No-no! I was just trying to tell you that you should smile more!" He said nervous that she'll end up getting mad at him. Minako sighed as she poked both her cheeks up with her index fingers making it appear as if she was smiling. "Eh, close enough." All Might chuckled.

Oof hopefully this chapter wasn't too confusing. Also I just ended up deciding that the story will take place at the same time as the latest episode of the anime or at least similar. The story will probably end up going in a different direction than what is happening/ will happen. I just honestly couldn't be bothered to include my character into the story 😬 Anyways I still hope you can enjoy the rest of the story. Thanks for reading!
