"Harmony!"

Moms farmiliar voice is comforting to wake up to. After being gone for more then a year to Juliard all the way in the United States it feels so good to be home in London again. I slip out of bed slowly, I get a little caught off guard with all of the results of jetlag rushing to my head, but I'll be fine. Taking in my surroundings with every blink, I've missed looking out my window and seeing the beautiful sunrise, usually I get up before the sun does! I take a little time to explore my room carefully, not wanting to disrupt the rest of my sleeping family- my dad. He usually doesnt get up until the sun is half way in the sky and if anyone disrupts that, even his daughter who had just returned home, he wont be happy. I smile to myself thinking about how my dad would react if I suddenly ran into his room and jumped on his bed. I've only done this once and you can guess why. I start to trace my hand up and down my old desk. It was suprisingly smooth. I lift my hand and dust is revealed all over my finger tips. I can see my room has been untouched this whole time. I start opening up old books, looking at family photos on my dresser, seeing my favorite films lined up just the way I left them. My door opens slowly and I can feel the presence of my mother behind me

"Good morning Darling, hows the jetlag treating you?" "I'll be fine in a few days" I manage to say before a yawn escapes my lips "splendid!" She says loudly startling me, "Whoops, anyways I have your breakfast all ready downstairs." "Thanks mum," I relplied still half sleeping "I was just making my way down" As I slowly climb down the stairs I see the warming sight of my moms famous pancakes sitting right where they are meant to be. I also see someone farmiliar sitting at the table. It takes me a minute before I realize it is an old friend I made on our family vacation in Ireland many years ago "Niall!"
