I was laying down on my king size bed while watching a movie with my brother when the door was pushed open and my father threw a human inside.
I was pretty frustrated because the poor thing was still alive so i grabbed my knife and got ready to end its misery. Humans are weak so they are seen as useless within the kingdom however i think they should be treated better before they die. I mean we do eat them but when they are thrown in here all drugged up and scared it ruins my appetite anyways.
I was positioning the knife on the things neck when my brother got up.
"Stop! I want to look at it first. Lets try to talk to it. Maybe father will let us keep it."
"Why would we want to keep it. Father will be pissed if we do that. Id rather just end the poor things life now before father gets to him."
I repositioned the knife but seb jumped on me. I let out a noise of protest and started trying to get my stupid brother off me. We both stopped moving as soon as we heard the human make a odd noise.
We looked over and we saw that it was awake so we cautiously walked over there.
Seb turned to me and made a puppy dog face.
"Whatever. I guess we can look at him"
I went to pick it up but it made another noise and tensed up. I paused for a second but picked it up anyways. It was small, very small. Humans are small creatures in general but this was was extremely tiny. It was cute.
I put the human on the bed and it sat up and tried to move away from us. In the process the little thing almost fell off the bed, seb and i almost died laughing.
We both hopped on the bed so we could examine it and find out what sex it was. As soon as we got on the bed it started crying, i cast my brother a glance but we continued advancing towards it anyways.
"What is your name, human."
"I-i my name is-"
It looked confused for a second so i decided to ask it again
"What is your name."
It sounded alot more cruel than the first time and i instantly regretted it. The look on its face made my heart ache.
"I dont know. I dont think i have a name"
"Then we will give you one, that is, if we decide to keep you."
"Are you a male or a female?"
Its face started to turn red at an alarming rate so i looked over at my brother and he was staring at the humans, uh something thats not appropriate for the current situation. So i leaned over and punched his arm.
"taht pots!" i hissed at him in my native tongue
"I am doing nothing wrong, asshat."
We turned our attention back to the human and waited for an answer
"Im a b-boy."
"Are you sure? You look very feminine"
His? Face turned very red again and i got worried so i turned to my brother
"Why does it do that?" I asked
"You mean blush? Humans do that when they are embarrassed i guess" he said with a shrug
"It has nothing to be embarrassed about?"
"Humans are odd creatures brother"
I shook my head a little bit but then turned my attention back on the human. I took a moment to really look him over. He was small, malnourished. He had milky, smooth skin while freckles decorated his shoulders and face. He had a more feminine look and also had doe like honey eyes that were red and a little puffy from crying. He was beautiful. I wanted to protect him.
I went to grab him but he flinched and begane to shake. It hurt me to see that he was so scared. He must have been through alot. I grabbed him and he flushed a deep red and begane to struggle and try to get away, i pulled him over so he was under me while his hands rested on my chest. I could feel that he was shaking. Bad.
I straddled him and took my time whike looking over his body, he put his hands over his face and begane to cry again. But this time he was crying alot harder.
He took a moment and tried to even out his breathing until he could talk.
"I-if you're g-going to kill me, then please, j-just do it now."
Then he broke down into full on sobs. I looked over at my brother. We were both unsure of what to do so i pulled seb over and then put the small boy in between us. He was still crying very hard but he was starting to tire out.
I stroked his hair and told him it would be okay until he finally fell asleep. He looked peaceful. He needed to rest and we still needed to talk to my father about this.
"Seb, after the human wakes up we need to talk to father about this arrangement."
He nodded and i felt odly at ease so i fell into a deep sleep and at some point i think seb did too.
