I was 6 when my dad left me and my mum, shortly after he was hit by a car and was killed, for nine years now it has been just my amazing mum and I, that all changed about a month ago. Let’s start from the beginning, it was a Friday night, mum had won two tickets to a concert for a band called Maroon 5. I wasn’t that interest so she took her friend Mary.
For the next week or two mum had been sneaking out at night, there was always an excuse, picking up dinner for us then when she gets home it’s something like she was caught up talking. Or Mary was sick.
I would get home from school and there would always be a note on the bench saying the reason why. One night I was sick and tired of all of this and I was hardly ever seeing her now. I waited until midnight on Wednesday when she came through the door quietly I walked over to her
“mum?”
“God Ellison what are you doing up? You have school tomorrow!”
“Yes I know mum, but I need to talk to you”
“Oh no do we need to talk about girl things?” She looked worried
“Mum, we had that talk when I was like 13”
“Oh ok, well what is it?” she looked nervous
“Where do you go?”
“What?”
Mum! Where do you go? Where do you sneak off to?”
“Go to bed Ellie”
“Mum?”
“No. Go. To. Bed.” Mum never got angry at me, I felt so heart broken, I walked out the room and to my bedroom.
What is she hiding? I was angry at her! We told each other everything. Looks like that’s all changing.
My phone beeped, I went over to it, I had a text from my friend Daniel
*Hey Ellie come outside*
I was confused but I went outside, there parked on the street were my best friends, Daniel, Benny, Harry and Josh
“Hey there girl, come with us. Lily invited us to her house for the night, her parents are away”
“I will get some stuff” Josh called
I was angry at my mum and needed a break from her and this house for a while; I left a note to her on my bed and left with the guys. We played the music really loud in Benny’s new flash Black convertible.
When we got to Lily’s house it wasn’t just us who were invited, there were people jumping around inside and you could hear the music halfway down the street
“Oh damn this is gonna be gooood” Harry jumped out of the car, we all followed
at the door we were greeted by Lily.
We walked into the house, there were people everywhere! I went to get a drink, at the bar there was a really, really cute tall blonde boy standing there, he must have caught me looking because he started to walk over to me, ‘oh god, he is coming to me, eek. Hows my hair? Good, ok? My make-up? I think it is ok’ I thought
“hey” he said when he came to me, he had a slight tan in his skin, he had dark blue eyes and blonde messy hair, it was sexy, he was taller than me.
“h-hi” I stuttered
He laughed
