Idk, I just thought of a rly cool and sort of angsty one shot, so here it is! 💖

*in this one shot, Kiri and Baku are like 23 and dating.

❤Enjoy!❤

-----🎄-----

It all started with a phone call.

It was almost 9pm on Christmas Eve, when Bakugou was waiting at the train station for his beloved boyfriend.
Kirishima lives in another state temporarily, for work, and was supposed to be coming to see Katsuki after a whole year.
As Katsuki was scanning the crowd, looking for the red of his boyfriend's hair, his phone started ringing in his leather jacket pocket.
He took it out and saw that it was Eijiro, and answered it quickly.

"Hello, Eijiro?" He said once he held it up to his ear. "Hey babe." He heard the red head say on the other end. "Hey, where are you? I don't see you anywhere.." Katsuki asked, looking around for maybe the millionth time. "Yeah, about that.. Kat listen.." Eijiro sighed, making Katsuki's heart start to hurt a little.
"I can't make it.. Something came up, I'm not gonna be there.."

Katsuki's heart dropped.
He was looking forward to spending Christmas with the love of his life. The most important and special time of the year, the time when everyone is happy, and he's gonna be alone.
"But.. What? Why?" Katsuki said, struggling to hold back tears. He hasn't seen Eijiro in over a whole year. A whole year of not seeing his happy smiling face, a whole year of not being able hold and kiss him, a whole year of no Eijiro.
"Something came up at work babe.. I'm so sorry.. I'll come as soon as I can, but that might not be for another month or so.." His boyfriend said sadly.
It was silent for a moment as Katsuki watched all the people walk past him.
"Okay.. It's okay, get your work done, that's more important after all.." Katsuki sighed half heartedly.
"I'm sorry, I really wish I could be there with you.. I love you." Eijiro said, trying to cheer him up. "Love you too, bye." Katsuki replied, looking down at the ground below him. "Bye."

They hung up and Kat sighed, really dreading going home.
He walked outside and began his walk home, not bothering for a taxi.
The white snowflakes softly flew around him, landing onto the light white covered sidewalk below him as he walked. He heard the bell of the clock tower ring 3 times, that rang every hour. It must be 9 o'clock now.

"Bells will be ringin' the glad, glad news. Oh, what a Christmas to have the blues..." Katsuki sang to himself as he walked down the mostly vacant street, lit only by white Christmas lights lining the stores.
"My baby's gone,.." He sang, looking up and picturing his boyfriend, smiling softly and looking him in the eyes, the pretty Christmas lights hitting his face perfectly.
"..I have no friends, to wish me greetings, once again..." He sang to himself, dreading the long night he's going to spend alone.
"Choirs will be singin Silent Night, Christmas carols by candlelight.." He sang, looking across the street to some Christmas carolers singing, ironically.

"Please come home for Christmas, Please come home for Christmas..." Katsuki sang, almost desperately as he looked up at the stary sky above him through the snowflakes that fell.
He was freezing, but he barely payed attention as snowflakes swept across his face, making him shiver.
"If not by Christmas, by New Year's night.." He sang, although he wanted Eijiro now.
"Friends and relations, send salutations, should as the stars shine above.." Katsuki sang as he looked back up at the stars, it making him even more upset.
"This is Christmas, yes, Christmas my dear.." As he looked in a house next to him, seeing a happy family inside. The mother and father slowly dancing to Christmas music, while the kids jumped and played around them, making Katsuki wish he was with Eijiro even more.

"The time of year to be with the one you love..." Katsuki sang as he imagined holding Eijiro close in his arms, the warmth of each other making them smile and cuddle closer.
A cold breeze gently passed Katsuki, making him even colder and blowing the happy warm image away with the snow.
"Then won't you tell me, you'll never roam Christmas and New Year's,..." He sang as he kept picturing being with his beautiful boyfriend, "...will find you at home..." And kissing him under the mistletoe lovingly, like they do every year.

"There'll be no more sorrow, no grief or pain. Cause I'll be happy, happy, once again..." He sang sadly, thinking of slowly kissing Eijiro by the warm fire, just the two of them. Happy.

As he was walking, he thought only of being with his red headed lover, the only one who can make him happy.

"Ohh, no more sorrow,..." Katsuki sang, desperately and passionately with his eyes closed as he turned in a circle, still walking.
"...No grief and pain..." He slowly opened his eyes, tears threatening to fall from them.
He was almost to his house.
"...Cause I'll be happy, Christmas, once again..." He sang the last line, wishing with all of his heart that he had Eijiro Kirishima with him.
His heart dropped, standing in front of his empty house, all the curtains being closed.
He didn't want to go inside. At all.

He stood outside, in the freezing snow with only a leather jacket and jeans, and stared dead in front of him, trying not to cry.
He misses him that much.

He sighed, his breath shaky and visible in the cold winter air, and walked up his porch.
He put his key in the lock.. But it was already unlocked.
Hesitantly, he opened the door.

He couldn't believe his eyes.
The warm fire was lit in the living room, and there, sitting on the carpet, was Eijiro, wearing a fuzzy sweater and a big smile.
"Gotcha, Kat~" He giggled with a wave.
Katsuki dropped to his knees and just started crying.
"Kat, what's wrong?!" Eijiro gasped, standing up and walking over to his boyfriend.
"A-are you real?! Am I just imagining it again?!" Katsuki sniffled as Eijiro wrapped his arms around him.
"Yes of course!" He laughed as he stood Katsuki up and closed the door.
Eijiro wrapped his arms around his neck, instantly feeling how cold he was.
"Your freezing, babe! Why didn't you take a taxi or something?" The red head shivered as he felt the other's cold skin.
"I was depressed.. And I sang the way here.. Why didn't you tell me you were coming?!" Katsuki whined.
"Aww I'm sorry, I wanted it to be a surprise! I got here early and I waited for you to leave then I came in here and waited!" Eijiro laughed as they walked to sit next to the burning fireplace.
Katsuki sat close in front of his boyfriend, really admiring how beautiful he is.
"I missed you so much.." He sighed with a small smile. "I missed you too, babe.." Eijiro replied, giving a soft smile.
"Come here.." Katsuki smiled a little wider, opening his arms and inviting the slightly smaller male to cuddle with him.
Eijiro chuckled and crawled over to him and sat on his lap, facing him, and wrapping his arms around Kat's neck.
They hugged each other tightly, finally feeling so warm comfortable.
'Cause I'll be happy, happy, once again'
Eijiro smirked and held up something he had in his pocket.
Katsuki looked up and smirked too, seeing mistletoe being held above them bother.
Closing their eyes, they both leaned in and pressed their lips together softly.

'..Cause I'll be happy, Christmas, once again..'
