The kiss. The kiss he laid on her lips softened her heart. His arms tucked under her waist, pulling her closer to him. The warmth kept her body and soul warm while the raging snow storm whirred around them. In this moment, and every moment to come, they knew their love would only grow.
Aubree sighed and closed the novel she had been reading. Romance in general seemed unattainable in today's society. She looked to her left and as if to prove her point, a random couple leaned against the wall, making out. They would've been semi-cute if the chick hadn't been climbing her boyfriend like he was a fucking tree. It's so gross. This is"romance" is now Aubree thought as she walked down the hallway ankle boots padding along and soft pink dress swaying.
Aubree was nearing first period when she heard her name called. Liam grabbed her shoulder before she could turn around, making her jump. "Oh hey Liam."
Liam had been her best friend since 8th grade. He was tall, dark haired and a nice strong build. If it wasn't for him, Aubree thought, high school would be hell.
"What's up?" Aubree asked.
"Nothing silly, just wanted a hug." Liam said, basically smothering her in his chest. To many, their relationship seemed weird but, to Aubree it was perfect. She wouldn't have changed it for anyone. She was so happy that Liam was her best friend, someone she could rely on in the mess of thousands of teens ridden with teen spirit.
Ring ring.
'First period, ugh'
"I've got to go Liam. First period calls." Aubree wiggled herself out of the hug and walked on, after giving him a huge smile on the way out.
First period was always so boring and most times wild. Every stupid person imaginable lined up in alphabetical order to only whip what ever ball the coach had put out at each other. This is aka: Gym. One of the worst classes around. Aubree frequently came out of it bruised. Fortunately for her most bruises landed on her legs or torso. Ice packs were easier to hold there without distracting others and more importantly, drawing attention to herself.
The only thing good about gym was the guys. And the only good thing about the guys was their build. Handsome, clean cut jawlines with that one haircut that screams fuck boy. Washboard abs and defined V lines where all part of the packaging. Of course, there was a hierarchy of hotness, and at the top was Blake. Blake Henderson. The ultimate fuck boy
Now Blake, he had everything, well almost. Blonde hair, blue eyes, perfect jawline, the washboard abs and all, except for a decent, kind bone in his body. Aubree had never heard a single compliment, thank you, sorry or anything of the sort come out of his gorgeous mouth. His personality was as brash and rough as walking on dried coral. He was and seemingly would never be anything more.
Unfortunately, he had every physical feature Aubree, and so many others, wanted. So naturally, he was the subject of frequent daydreams. Frequently naughty daydreams that would make anyone squirm if they knew what went on in her head.
Aubree was lost in one of those daydreams at the moment.
I love you Aubree. He'd pull me in close and roughly. Grab my jaw and kissed me. Kissed me like I'm his air, like I'm his everything. I would lean into him, let him kiss my neck feeling everything in my body come alive, hands would sneak down and...WHAM. She was knocked back down to reality. So much for fantasies. Aubree should know better than to not pay attention in dodge ball. That was the game where the most people got hurt.
Whoosie after being hit in the head, Aubree walked uneasily to the side of the gym where the out people lined up. The entire gym seemed to be spinning too fast.
"Hey coach, I don't feel to well." Aubree said to the teacher, Coach Aidan.
"Do you want to go down to the nurse?"
"Yeah, I think so."
"Ok, I'll get someone to walk you down."
"No...I can go by myself..." Aubree tried to say
"No, you're swaying to much to go by yourself. I don't want you fainting in the hallway. Here I'll get Blake to take you." He said with a wink.
"No really, I can go..."
To Aubree's disdain Coach yelled anyway. "Hey Blake, walk Aubree down to the nurses office, she's about to faint."
Blake came jogging to her side. "Come on, lets go" He said all snappy and entitled.
She followed him out of the double doors and into the hallway. However, she couldn't get over the tone of his voice nor how he was walking ahead of her like she was nothing.
Aubree was irritated more than she could imagine. She tried to keep it together but suddenly the words where slipping right out.
"Why are you always such a dick?" Aubree barked to his back. Blake whipped around.
"Why do you care?" He growled.
"I simply stated the truth." Aubree replied, a smug smile sat on her face. "Do you not like the truth?"
"Oh, fuck off." He said, and continued to walk ahead. Aubree was pissed off now.
"No! I won't. You can't just boss me around like I'm a nobody."
"Wow, someone must my PMS-ing since she's being such a bitch!" He said coolly
"Oh wow, such a dick move. I can't believe you're a fuck boy with that attitude."
"What, the ladies like a man who's strong and bosses them around."
He did have a point, Aubree admitted. Some of her darkest fantasies where her being bossed around but not like this. Her dignity was always kept.
"Woman like a man who respects them with a steady control that doesn't take away from them as individuals. Anyway, why are you taking me to the nurse if I'm such a bitch?"
"To get out of class, duh!"
Aubree's heart beat was fast now. Her vision started getting blurry.
"Well...uh!" Aubree trailed off. The world was spinning out of control and the next thing she knew, Aubree was sprawled on the floor right in front of him. How embarrassing.
"Clumsy girl." He said in a tone she had never heard before. A tone that suggested playful endearment.
Blake picked her up with ease. She could feel his biceps under her back. She wanted to tell him to put her down but everything went black.
