It's been twenty years since the fire that killed two adults and one child and only had one survivor that was severely wounded. I can remember what happened like it was yesterday. I've been to ten therapists and two psychiatrists when I decided that I"d want to be a psychiatrist myself. It's been twenty years I remind myself every day as I drive to work, in my yellow old yellow ford truck, in this strange little town called willow valley.
Today was a very "normal" day I checked the patients. Then I talked to my patients to see how there were doing. Today I talked with my patient Bobby Loan.
"Hello Bobby, how are you doing today? You seem to be doing better than yesterday." I told him in a calm voice.
"Hello, Miss Archer today's been a very nice day. Today a friend of mine had given me a piece of his desert for lunch. And then I took a nice long nap it was a good nap" Bobby told me in a childlike voice. he has an identity disorder he has the mind of a five-year-old but the pour thing his mother was abused. This world has rated to the core.
"That's awesome Bobby how'd you feel when friend gave you that piece of?"
"It was pie. And it was so good I almost didn't want to take it but he said was OK he doesn't like pie." Bobby told me in a cute and innocent voice.
"That's great Bobby." Someone then knocked on the door.
"Ashley the meeting is about to start."
"Okay. I'll be on my way." He closed the door with a slam behind him.
"Okay Bobby, I have to leave but it was nice being able to hear about your good day. I'll see you tomorrow, okay."
"Okay. I'll see you next time." he walked out of the room first with a smile. Then I ran out watching the time go by. I got to the meeting room sooner then I thought. When I walked in I was surprised to see that there were only two people in the room. my supervisor Loren Jones and the security guard Samuel Westbrook. I walked in and sat down."Is this everyone," I asked Loren.
"No, we have some visitors who should be on there way at least." The door opened and three strange-looking guys in suits walked in holding a briefcase. He's a little creepy I had thought to myself while he was talking.
"Hello, ladies and gentleman I'm here today to tell you that we are having a new inmate he will be joining us shortly, he's different from all the other inmates he's very uh..... 'special,' you ms. Archer will be taking care of him from now on."
"I just have one question how is he different from the rest of the inmates?" I asked him in an honest tone of voice.
" he's ... well ... very... abnormal. How about you just meet him and find out." He says very hesitate.
We all started walking to a room that I had never seen before it looked like an old interrogation room from some old movie. I sat at the metal table in the middle of the room, it smelt like some old ladies bathroom, There were a bunch of papers stacked up in the middle of the table they were questions, I didn't need them I had enough questions in my head. I could hear the door open with a buzz, I got nervous immediately. one of the strong-looking guys from before was pushing a young boy who looked liked he could be a little younger than me. The man left and I started asking my questions.
"Hi, my name is Ashley Archer you can call me Ashley. what's your name?" he didn't reply.
"I'm just gonna ask you some questions, so please reply, my first question is why are you here?" still no reply. "you have to answer at least some of my questions."
"Fine, my name is Hunter. I don't know why I'm here."
" you can speak," I said sarcastically trying to make him laugh. he says nothing and it goes quiet for a will. Then there were two knocks on the door. I walked closer to the door to see the three men in suits standing there.
"I'm sorry, our time is up I have to check on my other patients. but I'll see you again tomorrow. okay." I say before I walked out the door to go home for the day.
"okay. I'll see you tomorrow." Hunter said. I left feeling worried and concerned for my new patient. I want home and looked back at all my notes. He has been throw in many different asylums in the past eight-teen years about to be nineteen years one-year younger than me. He was born in the U.K but doesn't have an accent. He's quiet, has a weird mental health issue that I don't know anything about. I'm even more interested to find out why he was thrown in here? I just had to know. And that's all I knew about the new help.
