Good Grace

This Kiss

Dean looked around Kate's driveway for her dads car as they pulled up. The driveway was empty except for a pink bike that was a little too small for Kate. Dean parked the car but Kate already had her door open slightly. She jumped out the car, yanked the bike up and out the drive way, and into the yard.

"My little sister, I swear." She said under her breath as Dean walked up beside her.

"You have a little sister?" Dean asked kinda shocked because Kate hadn't talked about her before.

"Yea. Gabby. She's not the most responsible person in the world but I love her all the same." Kate said with a smile.

"Come on inside." They walked in and Kate kicked her shoes off at the door and Dean did the same.

Kate started to look around. "No ones home but me and you. And... it looks like they took puppy with them. I guess they went to the park or something." She looks back at Dean. "So what else do you want to do?"

Dean looked around "I don't know." Then he gave her a mischievous smile.

She looked at him confused. He closed the gap between them. Kate was wide eyed at first, shocked, but she relaxed into the kiss. Dean put his hands on her waist and started to move up. Kate stopped he's hands, scared of this boys touch beyond kissing because she honestly hasn't had that happen before.

He pulled back, breaking the kiss, to see her face. Upon seeing the mix of slight fear and frustration he understood that she wasn't ready for anything more than a kiss.

Dean always did the love em and leave em routine but Kate was different.

The way she said his name made his stomach flip. She had an innocence about her and he loved that.

So when he saw her reaction, he kissed her again, but this time it was slow, gentle, and kind.

Kate loved every bit of that kiss. It was what she wanted to give to him. It was special and kind.

Dean pulled away and saw a girl who loved him, none of the fear and frustration before, just pure love.

Kate led him up into her room to watch a movie. Se let Dean pick one out and to her surprise, he picked out The Lion King.

He popped in the movie then sat beside Kate on her bed. She curled up on his chest and after awhile drifted to sleep.
