Nadir was walking to class when he bumped into a boy. He was very skinny, had long black hair in a ponytail, pale skin, and bright golden brown eyes. He wore a surgeon mask, a white button up shirt, black dress pants, black Italian shoes, and a black vest. Nadir didn't know why he always wore a mask and used some of his hair to cover his face, but it wasn't his business so he didn't ask. The boy had dropped his books and Nadir helped him pick them up.
That's when he accidentally grabbed the boy's hand. It was quite thin and he could see his veins. The boy quickly pulled his hand away as if he had done something wrong.
"Hi, I'm Nadir." He said.
"Erik." The boy replied.
At choir he heard one of the most beautiful voices in his life, he looked and saw that the owner of the voice was Erik. He was surprised that the mask didn't muffle his voice. Erik's voice sounded like an angel's and it was as though there was only harmony. Erik was singing alone and the only one that was watching him sing was Nadir. His eyes were closed so Erik wasn't aware of the fact that Nadir was listening to him sing. The the bell for the end of class and Erik stopped singing. Erik opened his eyes and was surprised to find Nadir in front of him. He grabbed his things and rushed to class with his face red with blush. When they got to class Nadir wondered why Erik was so embarrassed about Nadir seeing him sing.
He wrote a note and passed it to Erik.
'I liked your song. You have a very lovely voice.' The note said.
Nadir saw him write something down then Erik passed the note back to him.
'Thanks.' The note said.
After almost two weeks Nadir and Erik had become friends but there were some things that were odd about Erik. He ate a large lunch but doesn't seem to be gaining weight, sometimes his eyes would glow slightly, and he always tried to keep as much skin covered up as possible.
He also took pill that he had never heard of before, but they definitely don't make him high since after taking them Erik seems to be in pain and every time he asked what they were for he told him they were aspirin. While Erik was in the bathroom Nadir took a picture of the pill bottle and searched it up on Google. Turned out that the pills were anti-depressants. Nadir wasn't a doctor but he was certain that anti-depressants shouldn't cause physical pain.
