★☆ Hi guys! I'm Callie, and this is my first ever story to be published on Wattpad. Yay! I may be co-writing this with a friend, which would mean I write every other chapter. But for now, I will be writing from points of views of the characters, starting with Sahalia. Input would be greatly appreciated, and if you read my story, I will love you 5ever and you're better than toast. Alright, I'm gonna finish this up. I don't have a strict plan for this story, I'm just gonna go where the writing takes me. If you have any ideas for the plot or characters, feel free to comment. Love ya! -Callie ★☆

Reading people really isn't all that difficult if I'm being honest. If you know how, it's like the information's spread out onto a page, like reading a book. Quite simple really.

Step 1 is to keep quiet. Not just your mouth, though that does help considerably. What's important is to keep your mind quiet. Don't let it wander, don't daydream. Focus on your subject.

You follow this by observation. This should be obvious, but I'm telling you anyway. It's not as simple as just watching a persons actions, however. You must take them in as a whole: their look, their attitude, who they associate themselves with. Pay attention when they give opinions as well.

Next step is to analyze. Read into every detail. Pick it apart and put it back together again. Say your subject tucks their hair behind their ear. You should not only observe this, but body language and facial expression as well. Are they just moving their hair out of their face? Or is it a nervous habit. Self consciousness? Perhaps. That's why I do it at least.

3 steps is all you really need to read someone, I've learned. Practice and you'll know someone's thoughts in under a minute.

Say someone was to read me. Plain, mousy brown hair to my shoulders. A few colorful streaks mean I want attention. On the surface it may seem like I just want to express myself, but expressing yourself is trying to set yourself apart from the group, and that's essentially attention grabbing. My clothes are plain enough, too. Skinny jeans and a band tee shirt (Shout out to Fall Out Boy Whoop Whoop) with a floral bow in my hair. Purple converse. I'm someone who doesn't like to be noticed too much. Personality wise, I'm polite and friendly but quiet. In my opinion, I'm pretty funny when I'm with friends.

But really, what's the point of writing this down? Well, it was kind of a spur of the moment decision. A memoir of me, an average girl who likes art and music and reading. Nothing special really. But I suppose I should be remembered. Everyone should. You make those kinds of decisions when you hear gunshots in your school and are stuck in a classroom, scared for your life. At least I do.
