(Alaskas point of view)
I got home and left my stuff upstairs. My mom started making dinner and my dad went on to doing whatever he was doing in the study room. I went downstairs to grab an apple and jumped up on the island table expecting to have a conversation with my mom.
"How was school" She said chopping up vegetables for the salad.
I smiled "It could have been worse" I said.
"Did something happen" She sounded worried.
"No, relax, I met a couple people" I took a bight into my apple.
She sighed "What kind of people did you meet?"
"I met a guy called Lucas who kinda showed me around" I smirked
"Ooo was he cute?" she said interested
I smiled and looked down at my swinging legs.
"I don't know" I said slightly giggling.
"Alaska..." She laughed
"I don't know, MAYBE" I laughed
"Mhm, okay" she said
"Anyway, I also met a girl named Jenna and Emily, and a friend of Lucas who's name is Matthew" I said excited to tell her about everything.
"Alaska, I've never seen you this excited" She laughed
I smiled even bigger and finished my apple and went back up stairs.
I found my phone vibrating receiving notifications. 3 messages from Jenna, and 2 messages from Lucas.
Jenna: Hey Alaska!
Jenna: I hope you liked school today!
Jenna: I really look forward to hanging out with you this year :D

Lucas: Hi :)
Lucas: I need your help

I first responded to Jenna saying "Thanks, I liked the school, I hope we hang out soon!" and then to Lucas "Hey whats wrong?" I put down my phone as it started vibrated again.
Lucas: I need help with Algebra :/
Lucas: If you don't mind helping me of course
Me: No, I don't mind, I'm about to do my homework anyway
Lucas: We have different problems though
Me: I know, that's okay
Lucas: So you wanna meet uo somewhere?
Me: Okay... where?
Lucas: I don't know
Me: do you wanna come over?
Lucas: Okay :) I'll be over in 10
Me: Okay
"MOM LUCAS IS GONNA COME OVER TO DO HOMEWORK OKAY?" I screamed hoping for her to hear me downstairs "OKAY" She yelled back.
I got dressed out of my uniform into some long black skinny jeans and a white tanktop and left my hair down. I took out my books and put them on my desk. My dad came in through my open door.
"What's this I hear of a boy coming over?" He said suspicious
"Calm down dad, I'm just gonna help him with homework" I chuckled
He squinted his eyes. "Okay" and left.
The doorbell shortly rang and I walked downstairs to see my mom answer the door. He shook her hand and saw me on the stairs. He had his books in his hands wearing long black skinny jeans and a button down red and black plaid long sleeve shirt. "Hello" he greeted smiling as usual "Hello I greeted smiling back. I motioned him to come upstairs. He came to my room and set him books on the floor.
"I am SO sorry to bother you" he said actually meaning it feeling bad.
"Don't worry about it, I needed a study buddy anyway" I said putting my books down on the floor next to his. "oh, I don't think I can help you much Alaska" He said embarrassed. "You will eventually" I said laying down opening my book "You'll out smart me" I added laughing. He laughed along.
I helped him with his homework and explained it all slowly to him and once he understood I explained my homework as I did it.
"Wow, thanks so much" he said relieved
"Anytime" I smiled
"I'm so sorry, but I've got to run, my mum and dad will get mad at me" He said picking up his books.
"Stop apologizing!" I insisted laughing to not make me sound demanding
He smiled "I'll see you tomorrow?" He said backing out of my room.
"Alright" I said guiding him to the front door. He left.
I had dinner and went to my room and continued reading until I received a call from Jenna.
"Hello?" I answered
"Alaska? I need your help, I'm so sorry for putting you through this right now, It's really bad Alaska" She said quietly crying "It's really bad" She whispered breathing in.
