Bang. Bang. Crash. The Elevator opened. Paula scrambled for cover as a deathly figure limped past her. Without being seen, she ran behind a rusty dumpster and brushed away the dust on ground next to it to reveal a Vault door with the numbers 1376 printed on the hatch. She preformed the survivors knock on the Vault door and waited. Sweat dripped from her forehead as she hesitantly looked around. More figures crawled out from behind of the destroyed buildings. She heard a scream in the distance, but was too shocked to do anything. BANG. The hatch opened. She plunged inside.
7 YEARS LATER
The Music echoed around the Cafeteria as Paula and her friend Alice picked at their platter of baked beans, toast and rice. It was like any other day inside Bunker 1376, the normal thumping of the Monsters above the surface, the usual arrest and the disgusting food. Paula hardly ate anything on her platter, as she still remembered the day she entered the bunker..The voice she ignored. What if the voice was a survivor? What if it was a child? Are they still alive? Paula tipped her platter into the rubbish bin and walked back to her room. She turned on her bath tap, stared at the water and gazed into her reflection.
The Next Day.
Paula awoke to a loud crash coming from the west side of the bunker. Everyone else had seemed to wake up too, as there was a lot of whispering. A voice came through the message speaker, saying the bunker was in lockdown and for everyone to stay calm. People were starting to panic, saying a monster had broken into the bunker and it was here to kill us all. But Paula didn't believe that, because the bunker hatch is indestructible due to high tech and science. But there was a small feeling in her gut that made her feel frightened.
Sooner or later, the message speaker came on again. Ordering everyone to evacuate to the cafeteria
