Thalia's POV
I sat down in my cozy tent and sighed, daydreaming about Nico's dark obsidian eyes, his mysterious nature, the way he --
"Thalia!" Phoebe snapped at me. "For the fifth time, Artemis wishes to speak with you privately!"
"Huh? Oh, okay. Yeah, um tell Artemis I'll be there in a sec," I said, still in my daydreaming trance.
Phoebe rolled her eyes, but she was full of concern. "Thalia, why are you always like this now? Ever since we got back from Camp Half-Blood, you've been acting clumsy and like you're in your own world."
"It's nothing," I mumbled.
"Whatever you say, Thalia," Phoebe shrugged. "But just out of curiousity, is it that boy Nico you've been daydreaming about all the time?" She left my tent and went to Artemis's tent before I could answer.
Surprised of how she knew, I grabbed my bow and arrows, put on my jacket, and headed to the moon goddess's tent just as Phoebe was walking out. Good luck, she mouthed. I nodded in response, not knowing what Artemis wanted to talk about with me.
"You wanted to speak with me, Lady?" I bowed and asked Artemis once I was in her tent.
"Yes, Thalia," Artemis replied. "Now please, sit." I sat on a comfortable cushion.
"Several Hunters have reported to me that you've been acting... different ever since we visited Camp Half-Blood," she started. I knew she was going to say that I was acting like I was in love with someone, but she used 'different' instead.
"And you want me to explain why, Lady?" I guessed, not liking where this was heading.
"Yes," Artemis said, "that is exactly what I want you to do."
I was about to open my mouth and think of a good explanation when a pink cloud of perfume appeared in front of Artemis and me.
Aphrodite. Oh great. Now Artemis will know what really happened at Camp Half-Blood.
"APHRODITE!" Artemis looked at her in disgust. "Please do not do that to me, especially when I'm talking with one of my Hunters!"
"Oh, but I just had to, you know? Especially when this conversation was getting to where it was going!" Aphrodite winked at me, grinning like crazy. I bit back an insult and blushed at the same time. She was talking about me and Nico, and us hanging out together a LOT during the Hunter's stay at camp. We sorta become more than friends... Doesn't she realize that Artemis wasn't supposed to know about this?
"Aphrodite, will you PLEASE get out of my tent and leave us ALONE?" Artemis gritted her teeth. She was on the verge of blasting Aprhodite out of her tent.
"Now, now dear," Aphrodite cooed, angering Artemis even more. "Let's not get angry. I'm only trying to help."
"Help?" Artemis scowled. "How in the whole wide world is this HELP?"
"Patience, my dear."
"PATIENCE? I--"
"Now, all we need is Nico and then we can get started."
"Started? I--"
"Hold on, dearies. It'll only take a few seconds."
"DEARIES? APHRODITE, I WILL GET YOU--"
