BEST BOYFRIEND

I'm so stupid.... I made her upset.... I'm really sorry Kathryn, I just really love my boyfriend as much as I love you...

"Why don't you chase her?" Shawn asked leaning against the wall, not even making a single eye contact with me.

"I'm too guilty for saying what I told her just now, I'm pretty sure she doesn't want to talk to me right now." I replied followed by a sigh. I really can't help being disappointed with myself  for what I just did.

"Then apologize."

"I can't."

"Why?"

I took a deep breath, making eye contact "I'm giving her space, I am in no position to make her even more upset when I approach her." Shawn just stood there, not  knowing what to say. He was about to open his mouth but then my boyfriend appeared.

I gave a pat on the back of Shawn, then smiled forcefully. "Well, I've gotta go now Shawn, Ken's here. See you later." I waved goodbye and left the room with Ken.

"So what did the two of you talked about?" Ken asked as we went to the cafeteria.

"Nothing..." I mumbled under my breath, hoping that he won't be worried. While I was still lost in my thoughts, he placed his right hand on top of my head, ruffled it just like petting a dog. "You know that I'm worried about you right? Let's talk about it once we get our lunch, k?" Ken said as he smiles brightly at me. We then found an empty table to stay on and sat there with our food.

"So what's the problem this time? Love letters? Harassment? Bullies?" His voice became a lot more worried and his face expression is like an angry principal. "Well it's all about Kathryn, I made her upset. And you do know that I don't like seeing sad faces of people you know. Because of this, I have no idea how I'll approach her once she gets back to the classroom..." My eyes slowly became watery, I became embarrased and bowed my head to hide my expression. Ken just looked at me,  I don't  know what he's thinking..  He probably thinks I'm pathetic-

I felt a warm hand above my head,  it was Ken's.

"Calm down now, the only thing you have to do is to apologize. I'm  pretty sure she'll be happier with that. " He gave me the sweetest smile with his eyes closed. "Now eat your food, lunch's about to be over." He took a bite of his food and signalled me to eat as well. I really do have the best boyfriend in the world...

Fast forward to going back to the classroom...

1 pm

Class is about to start, why is she still not here? Suddenly our English teacher came in,  breaking me out of my thoughts. "Okay I have an announcement  to make. Ms. Perez seems to have been feeling sick since lunch time so she will be going home for today. " The teacher announced.
