Only in Ohio

Chapter 1

( A/n so this is my first fanfic and I wrote this while I was on my period so if it seems moody I really apologize. It's going to be really sucky at first but as it goes on I'll try to make it better so bare with me. Thanks. :) )

I smack my alarm clock off my nightstand and looked out my window, it was still dark out. I looked at the clock that was upside down on the floor, it was 6:03 in the morning. I groaned as I rolled off my bed. I hurry to the bathroom and shower before my brother wakes up. Once he's up he gets in the bathroom and then my dad, it's a struggle with only one bathroom in the house. Especially since I have to get up extra early so everyone else can get in the bathroom after me. I get out and go to my room to get ready. I put my makeup on and take my hair out of the towel, it falls out in a tangled mess at my waist. I run my fingers threw it trying to break up the knots. I go to my closet and pull out a pair of jeans and a T-shirt then slipped on a sweatshirt because I live in Ohio and it's the end of September. I brush out my hair and let it fall to my waist, still damp. I have naturally straight hair, plus it's really thin so I don't have to brush it or blow dry it and it looks absolutely fine, it's a good thing sometimes.

"Rylie if you're coming with me you better hurry your ugly ass up!" my brother Ryan yells from the kitchen. I hurry up and put my gray Vans on and run out the door. He was already in his truck waiting for me. I literally jump in because the damn thing because it's so high and I'm so short. I slam the door and he blares the radio, his bass thumping behind us from the back seat, you can literally feel your insides vibrate.

Less than 10 minutes later I'm walking into the high school. I literally hate school and everyone in it. Girls are too much drama and guys are too pervy. I have one friend I can actually stand, Ashley. She's super loud so it's great because we both honestly don't give a shit. I see her running down the hallway to greet me with a hug. She runs with her arms open and jumps on me but I catch her, like always. Kids around us give us weird looks but I don't really care. We talk as we head to our separate classes, not having any classes with her sucks dick but whatever.

Schools over and I meet Ashley outside. I texted Ryan and told him I wouldn't need a ride home. Ashley and I walk to Subway to eat since neither of us ate lunch and we were hungry. It was about a 10 minute walk. We got our subs and sat down at a booth and got on our phones.

"I seriously hate living in fucking Ohio," Ashley groaned, while scrolling through her phone. "Nothing ever happens here, like you don't see us meeting Shawn fucking Mendes or Nash Grier or Taylor Caniff or anyone on the street because no one even likes Ohio!" she half yells as she looks at tweets from girls who met some of the boys on the street.

"Yeah true, I mean Jake Miller had a concert in Cleveland like once and they had a magcon event hear like once. But to see then just strolling down the street, yeah that's never going to happen." I tell her realizing how crappy Ohio is. "I just want to meet Shawn and Kian. Oh my gosh Kian is literally perfect!"

"Stay in your fucking lane!" Ashley yells at me and throws a chunk of her cookie at me. "You have magcon in your blood. You've liked before they were even a thing you are not going all O2L on me, understand?" she's not a fan of the o2l boys, she likes to be loyal to her magcon boys, especially Taylor. Taylor's like her idol and she's like obsessed. She has over 40 bandanas because that's "Taylor's thing", along with "Trippy." She feels the need to remind me that "I have magcon in my blood" in other words stay the hell away from o2l. But I seriously love them they just make my whole day.

We walk to her house, which takes like 20 minutes to walk there but it's not a big deal because we just talk the whole time. Ashley has been my best friend since 5th grade and we've been through hell and back together. I wouldn't trade her for the world because she understands me like no one else. We get to her house and her moms already there, "Hey mom, I'm home!" I yell as walk through the door.

"Get out of my house, aren't you banned?" she says jokingly as I give her hug.

"Awe mom, long time no see aye?" I say laughing.

"You were literally here yesterday. I'm starting to wonder if you even have your own house." She says as she walks into the living room. Me and Ashley walk to her room in the back and close the door behind us. We lay down on the bed and get on our phones.

My mom comes to get me around 8, I'm 17 and have my license I just don't have a car yet so I just let everyone else drive me around. Once we get home I feed the animals and go to bed, I'm pretty exhausted. Tomorrow will be the same old same old routine, nothing exciting because, well, I live in fucking Ohio.

( A/n so this was a really boring chapter, I apologize. I wanted you to get the feel of the characters and just the overall story line. So the story will get better as it goes on I hope, if not I'll just delete it :) )
