Bakura was never the touchy type. Seeing your entire village get massacred and then witnessing their souls get turned into seven gold objects with immense power would do that to you. So yeah, Bakura made it a point to refuse to touch anyone unless it was absolutely necessary.
Marik, of course, knew Bakura hated to be touched. But it was raining. And it was cold. And the heater had conveniently broken down.
"Please, 'Kura?" Marik pleaded. "It's so cold!" Bakura waved him off absentmindedly, still reading his book.
"I said no, Marik." He said, barely looking up. "Besides, you've already buried yourself in blankets." he pointed out.
Marik huffed, wrapping the blankets around himself tighter. At least the carpet's kinda warm, he thought to himself. He closed his eyes, wishing he were back in Egypt. There was nothing better than being surrounded by sand, the sun's rays shining down on him and warming him to the core. How he missed the oh-so-familiar heat.
Bakura snuck a glance at Marik, who was being uncharacteristically quiet. The Egyptian was curled up in blankets, eyes closed and a content smile on his face. He scoffed, wondering how he could've fallen asleep like that. But a tiny part of him wondered what joy Marik was dreaming of that could make him smile like that.
Suddenly, the wind whistled, pounding on the glass, rain pattering harder on the wide windows of their shared apartment.
Marik jolted awake, scared by the sudden noises. He looked around frantically, searching for Bakura before realizing he was safe in the apartment, Bakura watching him in amusement on the couch.
"Scared of storms, Marik? How childish." Bakura sneered, raising an eyebrow at the boy cocooned in blankets.
Marik scoffed. "Shut up," he said. Okay, he was scared of storms. So what? There was nothing like this back in the tomb he was raised in. There was no rain, no sun, nothing but darkness, spiders, and...loneliness. Ra, Marik was glad he left.
He got up from his place on the carpet, taking as many blankets as he could hold with him. With blankets trailing behind him like a colorful cape, Marik left the living room without a word.
Tripping like, five times while walking down the hall towards his room, Marik slammed the door shut, curled up on his bed, and waited.
Bakura sighed. He was just going to sit there and read, but when he heard the door slam, he knew he had to do something. Walking down the carpeted hallway, he stopped at Marik's room.
Groaning, he banged his head on the door. "Marik? You're not dead, are you? Ra, that would be a pain to clean up."
The door swung open, making Bakura fall with a soft thud.
"If you have nothing to say to me Fluffy," Marik said, staring down at Bakura, "I'm going to kindly ask you to leave."
Bakura sighed, propping himself up with his elbow. "I'm sorry, okay? I didn't mean anything I said, so could you just..." Bakura trailed off, not knowing what to say.
"Could I just...?" Marik prompted, genuinely curious. Bakura had never actually apologized to him before.
"Just...forgive me?" Bakura mumbled. Marik laughed, pulling Bakura into an embrace (even though he knew 'Kura didn't like to be touched).
"Of course, Fluffy." Marik said. "Anything for you," He added softly.
"You know," Bakura said, pulling away from Marik, "it is kinda cold."
"You wanna cuddle, Fluffy?" Marik asked, surprised. Was this Bakura's way of making up with him?
Bakura snorted. "No, I just want to lay in bed hugging you."
Marik practically squealed, tackling Bakura.
"Thank you, Fluffy!"
Another snort. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just don't take all the blankets this time."
Marik ignored the little remark. He was happy. Finally, finally,
"I'm not alone anymore."

I showed this to my girlfriend 'cause I was really, really proud of it(even though it was probably trash), and now I'm single. Who knew, my ex-girlfriend was homophobic?
So, if the seven millennium items were forged from the souls of the villagers of Kul Elna, and Bakura is from Kul Elna, doesn't that mean he's entitled to the millennium items? Or no?
