STRANGER IN THE HOUSE

The next few days went by with heavy tension between Sabrina and I. I would get off work try to kiss her but she was not in the mood to receive my love. I would spend most of my time with our son, watching tv and taking him to the parks when I got home. I would workout come back home and Sabrina would not even acknowledge me. I needed answers but had no idea about how to get them. Sabrina was definitely going to keep lying to me and she changed her phone password from the one that I had knew before.

I got off work one day earlier than usual. I needed to know that the hell was going on with Sabrina. I got to the home and quietly unlocked the door. I did not see here in my immediate sight. I then headed towards the room and opened the door. I had to shake my head a few times because I did not want to believe what I was seeing. Sabrina was down on her knees sucking some man's dick. They were so into their moment that they did not see me standing at the door. All kinds of things ran through my head. I wanted to grab my gun but realized that could only lead to me being in prison and then I thought about yelling to let them know I saw them but no words could form. Without thinking too much more the dude opened his eyes and saw me. His eyes got so wide. He pulled his dick out of Sabrina's mouth.

"Yo who the fuck are you nigga?", He asked.

Sabrina turned around and saw me and froze like a mannequin. All I could do is look at her in complete disgust. I then decided to answer the man.

"I am the one who pays bills at this place. I am the father of her child. I am the damn man of the fucking household. Who the fuck are you?"

"I am the nigga who has been fucking your bitch for the past few months."

With hearing that I did not have any control over my actions. I lunged at him. His pants were still down so he kind of stumbled back. I gave him a right hook to his face and he fell hard onto the floor. Sabrina tried to grab me and stop me but I was not even paying her any attention. The dude looked dazed and wiped the blood from his nose and pulled up his pants.

"You a dead man!", he said as he got up and headed towards me.

We ended up on the bed rolling and swinging. I could not tell who was getting more hits in I just knew I was not going to let up off of him and he was not backing down either.  I was kind of getting tired and could see that he was too but I did not want to concede. Sabrina then grabbed her phone.

"I am calling the police!"

"Don't do that", the man said pushing me off of him lunging towards the phone.

I lunged towards him but missed and hit the floor. Him and Sabrina wrestled for the phone. He got it from her and threw it.

"What the fuck is wrong with you bitch? You know I just got out of jail. You want them to send me back? You know I got a record."

He then ran out the home leaving me just standing looking at Sabrina. I was furious but would never put my hands on a woman especially not the mother of my child.

"Sabrina who the fuck was that?"

She began to cry and fall to the floor but she was not going to get off that easy.

"Sabrina, I will ask you one more time and I want you to be real with me who was that in our home, in our bedroom?!!!"

She got up off the floor and sat on the bed. Wiping her face. Her mascara was now running down her face and lipstick was smudged.

"That is just someone who I will not be seeing again", she said.

"Bull shit Sabrina is that the dude you been texting and calling?"

"Yes Lenny damn! Yes."

I began to fall to the floor. I was so confused by what had just happened and it all happened so fast that my head started to spin. I began to get back in the right state of mind and stared at Sabrina.

"Sabrina this whole time we have been together I have never fucked anyone. My attention was you and only you."

She looked at me with tears in her eyes. "Baby we can work this out just hear me out", she said.

I did not want to hear her say anything but I need some answers.

"That guy that was here is Twan. We met about a few months ago when he started selling me cocaine. He does not use but since I no longer have any income I started doing favors for him so that he could give me my weekly needs. I know you are hurt but you have to understand he gets me and does not judge me like you and others do about my use."

"Are you fucking kidding me? I have supported you and loved you through your addiction. I have offered to get you help and even comforted you when you lost your job and you bring some random man in here. The same home we make love in, the same home our son is sleeping in. I need you to just get the fuck out of here now!"

"Where am I supposed to go Lenny?"

"Your mothers, your relatives, or to the dude house you been fucking around with. To be honest I just do not care. You have disrespected me, my son and our home."

Sabrina was now breaking down crying. I did not care I was out of fucks to give at this moment. I began to help her pack her bag. She called her sister and she came to pick her up. I sat on the bed and let the emotions overtake me. I cried so hard I felt like I was all dried up. I then began to think about all the things I had put up with from Sabrina. The drugs, the irresponsibility, and now cheating. I was a damn good man, a good father, faithful, provider and understanding. Sabrina was fucked up for what she did. She had this man in our house. I was beyond angry at this point but also just so drained. I just wanted to wake up from this nightmare. My knuckles were sore from fighting. I had to go to work tomorrow and do the best I can with my son until I figured out what to do with Sabrina. I kind of wish I had just pushed harder for her to get help. Maybe she would not have met this man, Twan, as she calls him. I then began to snap back into my right mind. None of this is my fault. I did all I could. Sabrina is the only one at fault for this. I should have just left her for her family to handle when she first started doing drugs again but I loved her too much. I sat up for the rest of the night just trying to make sense of her bringing that stranger in the house and ruining us.
