Never

Dan and Phil was sitting on the couch in they're flat in London, with Phil resting on Dan's chest with Dan's arms around Phil. It was a normal night, nothing special. Suddenly Phil looked up and asked "Dan?" At first Dan was worried, Phil kinda sounded like something was wrong. "Yeah, Phil?" Dan asked as he looked down at Phil. "You'll never leave me, right?" Phil asked as he sat up so they were at eye level. Dan smiled at Phil asking something like that, he would never leave Phil. Dan kissed Phil sweetly before pulling away and resting their foreheads together and saying "Never."

Dan remembers that night. The night that it wasn't as hard, when every thing was okay. Now, he sits beside Phil in the hospital. Phil was diagnosed with cancer a year ago. Dan knew it would be hard for the both of them, but he never left Phil, Phil always came first before anything else, because to Dan, that all that mattered. But this time, this was different, this, was it. Dan and Phil both knew that it was. Phil had gotten to bad, and they decide it was for the best to let go. The nurses and doctors shut down all the machines, including the life support. They only had a few minutes left. Minutes go by fast. The next thing Dan knew, all he heard was a long beep that never ended. He was alone. And as he held Phil lifeless hand he whispered "never".
