As I sipped my tea my best friends Noelle and Meleah continued telling me of their fantastic adventure to the dead sea, I was planning on going until my father had passed on. I was still a bit depressed, he was a glorious man, loved dearly by many. It had been a week since they had gotten back and they had decided to take me put for a bit. We went on a trip to the local cafe, then we were gonna go to the dearington mall about 15 minutes away. I sat my tea back on the table, "We really wished you could have gone, it didn't feel right without you." Meleah said. "Yeah. I'm sure it would have been way better if you had gone. We missed you." Noelle said. Meleah, Noelle and I have been companions since I could remember, throughout schooling, each of us would be picked on, or just have one of those down days, we were always there for each other, through the thick and thin. I could barely remember a time we weren't together. "Yeah. Maybe we can all go on the next trip." I said, starting to fiddle with my mustache necklace I have had for a while now, I got it when we had took a trip to France about 3 years ago. They both told me about the water, how amazing it was, but I soon found that I had drown out all the noise, I was daydreaming, something I have found myself doing constantly since I was about 6 or so, I was never the best at paying attention, I very rarely even know what's going on, that was just one of my many quirks. "Vaelyn? Vaelyn!" Meleah's voice started to fade back in as Shep snapped her fingers in front of my face, "Wait, What?" I fell back into the cold reality, I could practically hear the thud of me dropping in my head. "You were in one of those spells again, weren't you?" Chloe questioned, I immediately replied with a nod, I had been asked that so many times, by teachers, parents, friends, sometimes even strangers, it had now became a reflex. "Hows about we head to the mall now?" I said, getting uncomfortable in the stiff metal chair. "Sounds like a good plan." Meleah said standing up and heading to the counter to return her dishes, with Chloe and I following her like little lap dogs, the kind that look like small squirrels, with owners that spend more on their groomer than I would my own haircut. After setting down the dishes, we went out the door and piled up in Meleah's car. "To the Mall!" Noelle exclaimed, I chuckled a bit. After about fifteen minutes we opened our doors, got out, then began walking into the mall. Meleah and Noelle got a few things, but I went back into the little dream land of mine. After about an hour or so of hanging out, we went to the food court, and sat down for a while, Meleah and Noelle were busy spotting all the cute guys. We finally left the mall and all went back to Meleah's house. "Vaelyn?" Noelle snapped me back into reality. "What?" "We were planning on spending the night, maybe it will get all of this off of your mind, I know its hard." She told me with a comforting tone, the same tone my dad would use when I was young, and had a nightmare, which I would have quite often. "S-sounds great." I said with a small sigh, pulling out my phone and texting my mom telling her what was going on.
