"Clarista, come downstairs and eat your breakfast! I want us to sit down together and act like a normal family for once!" I woke up to my mother's daily screeching.

I yelled that I was coming down and quickly did so. I stumbled downstairs and into the kitchen. I was greeted by the scent of crispy bacon and waffles in the center of the table. I made a soft moan of approval and sat down to devour the amazing gift that sat in front of me.

I heard heavy footsteps coming down the staircase and saw my younger brother walk into the kitchen to eat as well. He saw the pile on my plate and raised his eyebrows. "Slow down, tiger," He slid some of the waffles off of my plate on to his, "We don't need you to puke so early in the morning."

I glared at him, but I knew deep down that he was right, so I threw a piece of bacon at his head. Instead of it hitting him and showing a perfect grease stain on his dark skin, he caught it in his mouth like a dog. I could help, but laugh at the action.

Our mom finally popped her head out of the kitchen and squinted her eyes at us. She probably left her glasses upstairs accidentally. "What's so funny and why is it more important than your momma's breakfast?" We explained what happened while she took the last two waffles and bits of bacon left at the table onto her own plate. She rolled her eyes and told us that she's leaving right after eating.

We watched her leave after making small talk surrounded by our crunching. After she was gone, my brother went upstairs to get ready for school. The house was finally empty about and hour later and I soon got bored. I decided to go to the coast and  watch the water. I had nothing else to do anyways.

After the quick drive, I arrived to the beach. I took my flip flops into my hands and felt the sand nestle in between my toes. I thought that the feel was a little therapeutic. I put my towel down near the water and took off my outer clothes the reveal my bikini underneath. I brought a book to read while there and immediately got to it.

I got bored of reading twenty chapters in and decided to go for a swim. I ran into the water and waded through it. I got far out into the water and relaxed while listening to the sound of waves around me, but that all changed when I saw a grey figure swim around me.
