Chapter 4

Ambers POV
I woke up to my dad hitting and screaming at me. He is hitting me even harder today than normal. Probably because of what happened between him, Hayes and Grayson.
"Let's go slut your gonna be late" He spat.

So I get up and start to get ready for school. I put on a lavender hoodie and some skinny jeans. I then go to the bathroom and clean up the blood from my dad earlier. I look in the mirror and I just stare. I am so fucking ugly. I begin to look for my razors.
"Damn it, Hayes took them last night" I say pissed. But then I remember my secret spot I hid others in.
"I actually did something smart by stashing these here." I laugh coldly. I grab them and head to the bathroom.
"Once for my dad"
"Twice for the twins"
"Third for existing"
"Fourth and Fifth for the hell of it" I rinse my wrist off and head down stairs.

Johns POV
"Oh look what we have here, the fat ugly slut"
I see her walk to the door and I yell,
"Hey stop you fucking bitch!"
"Yes sir" she says
"You're getting 3 extra beatings today because your 2 little fuck buddies don't know how to mind their own damn business and keep there mouths shut."
"But...but"
"Don't you back talk to me whore*slaps* get out of my sight you bitch."

•At school•
Ambers POV
I get to my locker getting out my books for class. Then I see Grayson walking over to me. This can't be good. Why does this have to happen to me. Why can't I just die already. Just put me out of my misery.
"Grayson please don't hit me." I say scared.
He glances down at my wrist seeing the new cuts from this morning. I quickly cover them so he can't look at them anymore.

Grayson's POV
She has been cutting again. There's about 4 or 5 still bleeding from this morning I'm guessing. I can't believe I make her do this. I am a terrible person.
"Amber... look" I trail off seeing Hayes walk up. He puts his arm around her. Gosh he is pissing me off.
"Can I help you Dolan?" Hayes spat.
" Look calm down okay. I just wanted to talk to Amber for a few minutes. Alone" I say pissed.
"No fucking way. I don't trust you alone with her. You're gonna beat the shit out of her if I left her alone with you."
"No I wouldn't okay. I didn't last night now did I?!" I scoff
"Last night?" Hayes said growing angry
"Yea that's what I just said"

Hayes POV
He was at her house last night! What the hell. He could have killed her. I can't believe him. She was alone. I left her. I could have handled him being there.
"Stay the hell away from her okay Dolan"
"I didn't touch her okay! Her father was the one that hit her not me. I was the one that pushed him off of her. If it wasn't for me she would probably be dead right now okay!" He spat. She is mine he doesn't need to hurt her anymore.
"Did you know she cuts because of you? Have you seen her wrist!" After I said that Amber ran off to the bathroom crying. Great.
"Look what you did Dolan!"
"What I did you were the one who screamed that not me. And yes I did know okay. I saw last night..."
After he said that he ran to the girls bathroom. That's my girl I should be in there with her. I started to run to the bathroom.

Ambers POV
I can't believe Hayes said that to Grayson. I have to admit I was scared when Grayson came over. I thought he was gonna hit me more. I hate myself. I can't take the pain and being scared all the time anymore. I grab my razors out and stare at my wrist before I cut. I cut 15 times before someone came busting in. It was Grayson. I continue to cut. I don't care anymore. I don't care who sees. I keep cutting but I go deeper in each cut. I stop once my arm is covered in blood. The cuts still bleeding.
"Amber stop!!" Grayson says running over to me taking away the razors.
" Grayson give them back!"
"No Amber! I'm not gonna let you kill yourself." He says. I hear the door open again but it was Hayes.
" Hayes...." I say
"Amber what the fuck!" Hayes yelled
"Don't fucking yell at her you prick!" Grayson yelled to Hayes. Why is he standing up for me?
"Amber please don't cut anymore. It's not worth it. I won't let you kill yourself anymore." Grayson said.
" I can't handle this anymore." I fall to the ground crying, "It's all to much. Just let me die please just let me leave." I sob
"Amber....." Hayes said.
"I am just listening to you, Ethan and the whole fucking school. You tell me to kill myself everyday and now I am finally doing it." I say grabbing the razor and cutting one big deep slit. I look at the blood pouring out and everything goes white and I just fall.
"Amber No!!!!" I hear.

Hayes POV
"Amber No!!!!" I scream seeing what she did. I see her falling to the ground and I push Grayson out the way to catch her head.
"We need to get her to a hospital now!" I yell to Grayson. This is all because of him.
"Let's take my car!" Grayson said as we run outside to his car. We get into his car and speed off to the hospital.
"Help! Help we need help!" I yell. The doctor comes and rushes her somewhere in the back. I am covered in her blood. I start to cry a little. Then I look at Grayson and start to tackle him.
"This is all you and your brothers fucking fault!" I yell punching him he punches me in the face and knocks me off. He begins to punch me. We get interrupted by the doctor.
"Who is here with Amber?"
"I am" Me and Grayson say at the same time.
"Okay follow me" the doctor says he brings us to Amber in room 701.
"Oh my god Amber" Grayson says
"What's gonna happen to her?" I ask
"Well she is lucky that she had you there because she wouldn't have made it if you weren't. See... Amber cut really deep into her main vein and she lost a lot of her blood. She is very weak and will be for the next few weeks. She has to take it easy. So that means no running or rough housing, no more cutting either. She can only walk very small distances and not for long. She has to eat properly as well. Now I noticed some bruising on her arms as well. Now she can't be clumsy either. I am guessing that's what the bruises are from. So I recommend you keeping a very good eye on her. Now if you promise to do everything I said then you can take her home tomorrow. She can't go to school either she is very weak and can't handle all of what goes on."
"Thank you doctor" I say
"Of course. Will you need an overnight bed for you?"
"Yes make it 2" Grayson butts in saying.
"Okay I will send them your way" he says
You have got to be kidding me! He is staying here now. The nerve he has. He is the one that caused all of this.

Grayson's POV
"I am so sorry Amber. I shouldn't have ever hit you or told you to kill your self ..." I say crying to her. I notice Hayes giving me the death stare as I do so.
"You got a problem Grier?!"
"Yea I do! Your touching my girl! You can't touch her anymore. She is scared of you Grayson! She might let you hit her but I am sure as hell not gonna let you anymore!"
"Fuck off I'm done hurting her. And I know she is scared of me. She won't even look me in the eyes! I feel fucking terrible for all of this!"
"Get away from her now!"
"She isn't your fucking girl okay! She's mine!..." "What did you just say to me Dolan?!"
"I love her Hayes I always have"
"Too bad. She will never love you. After all the shit you put her through on top of what happens at home. Your a fucking idiot if you think she will love you."
"G-guys?" We hear Amber say.
