Lyanna, 13 years old dives in sparkling water. In these blue and white depths, she is happy, being quite far from the coast, she is alone. In the midst of an absolute calm, not a movement of a living being on the horizon.

She tries to swim like a mermaid, she bypasses plastic bags, bottles, tumblers. In some films that she succeeded to see, despite the ban on the state, she had observed blue oceans with very colorful fish, shells and beautiful plants. The swimmer wonders why governments censor all types of films with a blue sea. After all this is only fantasy and doesn't turn up any reality: the ocean was, is and will always be overrun with plastic. She knows something about it.

Passionate since youth by the blue immensity, she watches all the existing documentaries. Made by government-accredited scientists, they are very interesting. It seems that she swims in one of the most beautiful waters in the world. She looks around her, indeed if we observe well we can see small plants at the bottom of the water. She tries to get close but a bag tangles in her legs. Too bad it will be for next time. Lyanna returns to her parents.

“Let's get some ice cream, honey ? – OK !”

While her mother fetches an ice cream, the girl walks by the water, she sees a rock moving. She comes closer to better observe.

“It’s a turtle !”

Observing better, Lyanna realizes that the animal is eating a plastic bag. Fearing that the turtle would suffocate, Lyanna runs to the beach care station in emergency with the turtle in her arms. She warns her mother and they wait in the waiting room for the turtle's news.

“The turtle is safe and sound. – Thank you very much for treating her sir !”

25 years later

“"Lyanna are you nervous ? – Yes but I am also very excited !!”

She checks her stuff and the battery of her camera one last time. She intends to take a lot of pictures of "The Blue Planet" seen from space and give it to all her loved ones.

“Finally arrived !”

Lyanna rushes to the window by taking out her camera.

“Tony, what are the white spots on earth, I thought all we could see was a blue sphere ? – Before, yes, but now the plastic appears. – Oh! I didn’t learn that! I didn't know.”

She won't take any pictures. Governments have hidden the state of the planet, she suffocates. Lyanna understands for the first time that pollution is not natural and that her earth is dying.

“It is a shame that we are taught that plastic in the oceans is normal and it’s been there forever.” whispers Lyanna.
