My names Ethan, i guess we're going on some sort of adventure, but I don't know specifics. What I do know is Jax told us to write about ourselves in case we become famous or something? I'm honestly not sure. What I do know however, is that a lot has changed for me in the last 24 hours; so I guess i'll start there.

I woke up like I usually do, because of course if I didn't that would be a problem. I threw on a pair of ripped jeans and my sweatshirt and  walked down the stairs. Made my cereal, frosted flakes if i recall, anyway - my mom walked into the kitchen. "Good morning honey," she said kissing me on my head "hurry up or you're gonna be late."

My mom is a teacher at my school so she drives me everyday, and thank god because those buses are crusty. I finished my bowl and put it in the sink; I grabbed my bag that I keep my the door and walked out to the car. "So how are things with Levi" she questions, smirking. "Mom, we aren't even dating, plus i'm pretty sure he's straight," I respond. "Well, you never know" she says smiling at me. "...Damn, my nail polish is chipping." "Don't say damn-" "but you just did," I cut in. "Yes, but i'm you're mother" and after that the rest of the drive was quiet.

I walked into school on the seemingly normal day and said hi to a couple of my friends. I walked to my locker to put my bag away when Levi came up to me. "New color" he questioned, looking at my nail polish. "Yeah," I replied with a dumbfounded smile; surprised he wanted to talk to me. "Purple looks good on you," he paused "well, see you later" he said and walked away, my best friend walking up just after

"Awwhh what'd he say," she asked poking me. "Not much Sophie, why do you think he admits his love for me every time he talks to me" I responded. "I don't, I just hope he does- but seriously, what did he say" she questioned again. "He said he likes my nail polish and that purple looked good on me" I replied, smiling just thinking about it.

Math class sucked that day, like usual. "That test was ruthless," I told Sophie, as I walked out into the hall. "Damn, I'm gonna have to deal with it next hour." "Ah it'll be fine, you're smart." "Mhm, sure" she replied, then we split up to go to our separate classes.

I sat at the my assigned spot in the class my mom teaches, English. Throughout the entire class she seemed to have been giving me sad looks; but fleeting looks. As soon as they appeared, they left. I didn't understand why, or if they were even there at all. The rest of the classes went by, nothing important happened- other than me being not-so subtle towards Levi.

I said bye to Sophie, who got on her bus and walked to my moms car. "Hey sweetie how was your day," she asked me as she pulled out of the parking lot. "Not too bad, Levi talked to me, said that he liked the way purple looked on me," I smiled dumbly. "Awwh, he'll make a great husband someday. "Mom!" I replied but was okay with the idea.

The drive was quick, as we don't love far from the school. We walked in the door and I set my bag in it's usual place. I heard a cough from our kitchen table, one of those which people do to get you to notice them. It slightly startled me and I looked into the dining room, Straight across from the door.

I saw my dad sitting there smiling at me, tears in his eyes. "Dad!" I yelled, running to his arms. My dad and I always had a strong relationship, and I still yell like a little girl when I see him. "Hey kid," he says "it's been about two weeks, I've missed ya." I wrapped my arms tighter around him "you too"

After that I went to get changed in some more comfortable clothes. As I was putting on my baggy NASA t-shirt, I got a call from Sophie. I put her on speaker and went to look for some pajama pants. "Hey Ethan" she said, tired sounding, even though it was only six o'clock. "Hey, so my dad came back from his trip today." "Really?!" she says, she knows how much I love my dad, and she likes him a lot too. "When can I come see him" she follows up with. "Tomorrow if you want," "really, yesss." I heard someone call her name in the background. "Yeah!" She yelled back, and some more muffled talking called back. "Damn I gotta go, see ya tomorrow," before I could reply she hung up.

At the dinner table we made small talk about my dad's trip. "Yeah America is pretty boring," he said laughing "especially when you're surrounded by a bunch of guys in suits." "Did you do anything other than business?" I asked. "Well I got blackout drunk and went to a strip clu-" "Eric," my mother glared at him. "Kidding, kidding, yes all I did was business, and the one star hotel didn't help." A knock on the door came as I was about to put another fork full in my mouth.

My mom and dad my eye contact, and my mother got up to answer it. I heard hushed talking from behind me. My mom and a force I didn't recognize. A gruff, but friendly voice. "Fine," I heard my mom finally say.

"Honey, this is our friend, Jax," she said. "Hi," I waved, but confused. He had a duster on, one of those things you see cowboys wear. He had short messy hair, but a coordinated messy. Short stubble and a pair of jeans. No one talked, until my dad spoke up. "Okay Ethan, since no one else will, I'll be blunt," he said. "You're gonna have to go with him, don't worry I'll be with you, but we have to, we'll explain later, pack a bag."

I was super confused by this shocked by the suddenness and of it; and how little I knew. Before packing my bag, I looked into the bathroom mirror. My dirty blonde hair sitting on top my head, and my fringe, messily in front of my right eye. My left brown eye starting back at me. I decided to go pack my bag, as much as I don't know this Jax guy, I trust my dad.

I packed toiletries, charger, a pair of headphones- the essentials, and all the clothes I could fit. I didn't know if I'd need it or not but I packed the two hundred and fifty dollars I had saved up from babysitting too, just in case.

My mom kisses me and my dad goodbye, tears running down her face. "I don't know how long until I see you, but I love you," she said and I almost started crying myself. Before we left, I saw my mom give Jax a mahogany box and we walked out.

The car ride to the airport was about an hour, and Jax went into some deep explanation about some sort of weapons with elemental powers and weapons. It sounded like something out of a fairy-tale, and I figured that's what it was, until we got on the plane, and landed someone in Michigan. I'd never seen Michigan before but that's where Jax told me we are.

A girl who I'd also never seen before got on the plane with us the next day, she didn't talked to me, or anyone else really, but I picked up that her name is Raine. A couple of stops later, and we're somewhere in America, I honestly don't know. This trips been a blur. The place we're in looks like some futuristic place a super villain would hide in.

I hear my dad calling for me, so I guess that's all for me, I think Raine is  writing hers next.
