"Makayla faster! Faster! Faster! We're so close just keep going faster!" Tyson yelled.

"I can't! I'm tired, I can't do this anymore, I need to stop." I said as I started slowing down. We have after all been running non stop for the last three hours at maximum speed.

"Alright, fine. We'll rest for one minute then continue on. We only have 2km more to run before we reach the pack house."

Sighing, I stood up, nodded my head then continued running towards the pack house in our human form.

Reaching the pack house's front yard, I flopped down, back on the ground like a starfish.

"Come on Makayla, it wasn't that bad!" Tyson said as he stood over me.

"Yeah, says you! How come you didn't take Toby with you instead?"

"Well, he's training the teens. Plus, you're my little sister so I should make sure you're in shape."

"Uhm Tyson? I'm not your sister, I'm Toby's sister remember?"

"Ouch Makayla, that hurt. You know you've been my sister the moment everyone found out that Beta David and Beta Angela were going to have a little girl" Tyson said faking hurt.

How can I forget? Alpha Fred and Luna Beatrice always wanted to have more kids, more so, a little girl, sadly due to complications after Tyson's birth, she could no longer have another child, and so Toby and I have become their honorary kids. To be honest, having both Alpha and Luna treating us as if we're their real kids feels really nice. Although, this also meant having two mothers fussing over us and breathing down our necks.

"Fine, fine. Now carry me inside," I said as I put my arms up, readying to be picked up by Tyson.

"Psh I thought you said you're not my little sister. You can stand up and walk yourself inside the pack house." Tyson said as he walked towards the pack house, leaving me with my arms stretched out waiting to be picked up by him. Wow, he must have actually taken what I said to heart. Feeling bad, I went over to him, wrapped my arms around him from the side.

"I'm sorry Ty. You know I was just kidding right? I know I'm your little sister, hence why I'm being annoying, 'cause I'm your annoying little sister."

Still nothing. Great. So I did what any sane she wolf would do - I tackled him.

"Hey! What was that for?!" Tyson yelled.

"You're ignoring me even after I said I was sorry."

"You are feeling sorry, aren't you?"

"Of course I am. I can't have one of my big brothers ignoring me or mad at me."

"I know how you can make it up to me" he smirked.

Oh Goddess what is he thinking now? Last time something like this happened, I had to clean his room and do his laundry for a month! The things I saw in his room cannot be unseen and has definitely been a recurring nightmare for at least 6 months from the time I had to clean his room and that was over a year ago and I can't help but shudder from the memory.

"Please don't tell me I have to clean your room again," I shuddered.

"Psh please don't be so over dramatic. It wasn't that bad."

"Wasn't that bad?! I had nightmares because of it! How can you say it wasn't that bad!"

"Whatever, are you ready to hear it or not?"

"Fine. What is it?" I said, bracing myself.

"You're coming to the meeting with me tomorrow night."

Woah I've never been asked to accompany anyone in a meeting before.

"And what is the subject of this meeting?"

"Rogues, what else? It seems like they've been caught wondering around the neighbouring packs' borders."

"Okay, so why do I need to be there exactly?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Dad's been thinking of stepping down for a couple of months now, and since I haven't found my mate yet, mum and dad are thinking of making you the pack's unofficial luna until I find my mate. You're smart, strong, wise and we grew up together, so we know how each other work and think. It's kind of awkward to think really considering we're practically siblings then all of a sudden you have to be the pack's unofficial luna," Tyson said, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Wait, isn't it kind of weird though that they want me to be the pack's temporary luna? I mean, other alphas without a luna are doing fine."

"That would have been the case for me too. But considering the rogue problem, they think it'll be better that the pack has a Luna to take care of things that Lunas are the only one who are capable of dealing."

"But I'm not a Luna. I am not capable of dealing pack problems only Lunas can handle," I said, shaking my head as I started pacing back and forth.

"Makayla, we both know you can do it. Heck! The pack's been going to you every single time they can't get advise from our mothers. You're compassionate, headstrong and most of all you can kick ass!" Tyson said grinning.

Shaking my head, I knew what he said was true. So nodding my head, I looked Tyson in the eye "then I'll be the pack's temporary Luna until one of us finds our respective mates."
