The phone call.... Well, it went surprisingly well. I could barely hold the receiver up, but it seems he heard me just fine. This means that we we be able to legally continue working on the superbeing and our other clones we've been planning for quite some time. I haven't told the team yet, but I'm sure they'll be thrilled to hear the news. Now, I better get to sleep. I have a big day tomorrow. I'll see you next time.

-Zyron, signing out
Zyron removed his hands from his keyboard and pushed himself away from the desk, the wheels of his chair sliding across the floor. He got up and undressed himself, then slipped on a plain T-shirt and made himself cozy in his bed. His eyelids shut like blinds and his mind drifted off to somewhere else. A sudden loud knock at the door was heard. Seven fast knocks, in a little tune.
"Come in...." Groaned Zyron, rolling over in his bed so he faced the door.
Zyron's wooden door slid open, almost falling off in the process. In the doorway stood Jen, wrapped in a towel, glasses steamed up.
"I saw your blog post." Jen said blankly.
"J-Jen, can you put some clothes on for god's sake? And how did you even see it that fast, I posted it less than a minute ago!" Zyron replied, embarrassed.
"Sorry sir. I just felt the need to inform you that I had seen it. Well done on the phone call." Jen smiled.
"Thanks... Shouldn't you be asleep?"
"I've been up all night finishing the reports for you."
"You don't have to work that hard, you know. It's 1:30 am and you should be getting some rest."
"I was about to, hence the fact I'm showered."
"I can tell, Jen... Goodnight."
Jen entered Zyron's room and pulled the covers over him a little more, then plumped up his pillow for him.
"Jen, Y-you don't have to do that anymore. I can keep care of myself now."
"Sorry. I'm just so used to it. After the accident, I had to keep care of you all the time, so it became a routine! Plus, it reminds me of keeping care of my son."
The accident. It wasn't particularly something Zyron wanted to be reminded of, especially before he goes to sleep. He had nightmares about it for months afterwards. He spent months trying to create a type of brain controlled hologram for him and his team to use. His first prototype sent him to the hospital with minor brain damage, which caused him to forget how to walk and hold objects correctly. But that didn't stop him. He tried a couple more times, fully aware of the risk that he could end up back in hospital. Eventually, it worked, and the final product was amazing.
Zyron rolled his eyes and turned over, facing the wall.
"Are you saying i'm like a child?"
Jen laughed. "No, sir. Unless you wish to interpret it like that."
Zyron signalled for Jen to leave the room, as he closed his eyes again. His thoughts and worries floated away as he drifted off to sleep.
