We can see this around us. and it seems like throwing garbage at random has become a bad habit for the people of Indonesia. The community in their daily activities always consciously and deliberately littering. This happens because of the lack of awareness and sense of responsibility from each individual towards cleanliness in their surroundings. This is evidenced by research that shows that four out of a hundred people in Indonesia are still littering. The government itself has made rules about the problem of garbage disposal in any place and has set sanctions for the perpetrators. But on the other hand, the community remains indifferent to these regulations and still pollutes the surrounding environment. The habit of removing any trash can be found anywhere, for example in public transportation, in schools, on rivers, and even on highways.
Throwing garbage randomly certainly has a big impact on the environment and on the community itself. whereas the garbage that is dumped carelessly into the river, will make the river clogged and cause flooding when the rainy season arrives especially if the rainfall is high. In addition, garbage is scattered everywhere which will become a nest of diseases that can disrupt the health of the community itself
We as humans who have the highest degree among other living beings should have an awareness and responsibility of themselves towards our environment.
We must not litter because it will have a negative impact on ourselves and others. With a clean environment, our lives will certainly feel more comfortable. This earth is where we live, we must keep it as best we can so that our children and grandchildren can also enjoy the beauty of the earth.
