Emilio is totally wasted.

Diego is gone and I am this close to be wasted as well.

Another drink is served to me as I gulp it down again.

Everyone was laughing.

It was a party.

I don't really know what they are celebrating and  I don't want to find out.

Another drink is served.

"I just don't get it. Really don't. How can birds fart? The logic is just...." Emilio was a sad drunk. He would sit down, with no reason in life, and lament about everything that he didn't understand. I am surprised he hasn't started crying yet.

"Emilio~" I was a just-can't-keep-my-mouth-shut drunk. I think it's because I hold a lot of secrets that in my worst moments I spill everything like a fountain.

"Emilio~," I say again to get his attention and he drags his head to me. Notice I don't sign. Yep, I'm talking, and I can just guess how many minutes are gone. For now, I am awake at least. No one has noticed, Emilio is too drunk to notice, but even then, I feel like something is watching me. Too suspicious Emerald, who be watching now. It's just Emilio and his stupidity.

"Birds don't fart. They emit sounds that could be farting, but they don't emit gas or whatever." I couldn't hold my voice steady. Words scrawled together as we talked the fucking science of birds farting. Who knew we would talk smart while absolutely wasted but when sober, we would ignore all the science of the world.

"Where you heard that? Never, never, oh crap. Hey, where's Dolly Dolly Mr. Dolly?" He meant Diego. I think he made that nickname the first they got drunk together. I look around but my eyes wouldn't get steady so I shrugged, took another drink, and answered the question.

"I read it in some popular science article during the 2000s."

"That was absolutely, absolutttttttellllllyyyy ages agooooo, your old." He was getting more and more tired, but he kept getting drinks. I took his last one so he doesn't die and drink it with a salute to my birthday.

"Today's your birthday? Happy birthday to you, to you." He grabbed my shoulder and another drink as another laughter breaches through me. We laughed for ages as we sang the new happy birthday song.

"From the republic!" Emilio screams.

"To the anarchy!" I scream.

"We died!"

"And we're still fucking dead!"

"Happy birthday! Another year closer to FREEDOM!" We both screech and others laugh as another drink gets served. I start taking all of Emilio's drinks despite his complaints as we laugh it all off. Keep drinking Emerald, actually, don't. Don't drink.

"How old you be, old lady?"

"2 million years and a bit."

"Damn, you be dead."

"You said it!" A sharp pain reaches through and I cough as another laugh comes through. Emilio calms down without his alcohol and slowly goes to sleep. I notice more people collapsing everywhere and we have reached the end of the party before it even truly began. They all be weak. Another sharp goes through the heart as it beat starts being irregular. And there it is, alcohol poisoning. Soon, I should be having a headach-and there it is. Ahh, brain damage, my life. And this is why I took the drinks from Emilio, he is blackout drunk, but not enough to die from it.

"BArtender. BARTENDER! Bartender! Bartender." He comes by with a smile, being one of a few people not actually completely wasted, but I didn't care of her heard me as I motion for him to come forward like I was telling a secret.
