As I hobble onto the rocky stone path and towards the old wood bench that has been in my family for years, the sunlight pours unto my uplifted face. The breeze blows my thin grey hair as I sink down with a sigh.
The beautiful scenery spreads out in front of me. Mountains towers over toy-like houses. I ache to pick up one of the buildings and cradle it in my arms.
But soon, my body is there, but my mind is else where. Dreaming of soft petals of a rose in a valley of dry grass. I try to be like that lovely rose in the few more days of my life, but I feel that I don't fit in. I feel...
I don't have any significance.
I push the troubling thought out of my mind and watch the red and gold sun sinking into the midst of pink sky and clouds.
I stay until the lights in the city flicker on. Then I bend over, get up and walk slowly into my small house and watch the city's bright buildings slowly drown out the fading mountains.
