Soul Mates

"She's my what?!" Natsu shouts in disbelief

"Your soul mate. And you're hers. Think about it Natsu. Of all the people we've attacked and turned into vampires none have ever had this mark. Look." She says and holds up a book "it says it here. When a vampire finds their soul mate and they bite each other the bite mark is left and is clearly visible. It even says it right here that it is commonly red and is in the form of their partners fangs. The mark you left on her is bigger and the mark she left on you is smaller."

"That explains why I was so drawn to her. Even her scent is heavenly to me." He says with a bit of embarrassment

"So we are meant to be together. That also explains why I was drawn to you and that beautiful smile of yours and why I wasn't scared when I saw you face to face." I say and blush

"You are very lucky Natsu. Vampires don't normally find their soul mates. A vast majority of us live alone forever." She says a bit sadly

"I am lucky huh? I feel complete now and I feel proud that she's marked as mine forever."

"And your marked as mine forever." I say with a smile and he smiles at me. "I'm the mate of the leader of the vampires. Wait does that mean I'm like the princess or something now?!"

"Yeah basically. He's the leader and so are you now but he has to show you everything still. Be thankful you have eternity because it will take a really long time to learn everything." Levy says with a sigh

"Makes you feel better about staying with me now huh?" Natsu asks with amusement

"Yeah kinda. But I've never been in a serious relationship before and this is as serious as they come!"

"Relax. Relationships aren't that hard. Plus I'll be your only serious relationship forever." He grins

"Yeah but I'm still nervous. This is a lot to take in. 24 hours ago I was just a high school kid and now I'm the mate to the leader of the vampires and I have to learn how to lead with him."

"You'll do fine Y/N don't worry." He says reassuringly. "How about a bath and a change of clothes and we can go relax in my room?" He asks and I take a deep breath and nod. "Great. Thanks Levy. If you find out anything else let me know immediately."

"Yes sir." She replies and starts reading again.

He leads me back to his room and we both sigh heavily and look at each other and blush bright red.

"I didn't expect this." I whisper.

"Neither of us did Y/N. I never thought I'd find my perfect match. I was completely fine and accepted the fact of being alone forever because that's pretty much everyone here. You heard Levy, we rarely find our mates. Sure we have relationships but it's never serious."  He explains a bit sadly

"Well, we have each other now and I'm thankful for that. But I never expected my true love was a vampire." I giggle and he smiles.

"I never expected mine was a human and I definitely didn't expect that my first intention was to devour her." He says and walks over to me. "Now I have the opportunity to indulge in her forever in so many different ways." He says in a sexy voice that gave me chills.

"Don't sound like that. You gave me chills." I tell him and shiver and he smiles. "Now how about that bath? It'll feel good to relax."

"I'll join you." He says in that sexy voice again

"I'll pass. For now at least. Let me adjust to all this." I tell him nervously

"Fair enough I guess." He sighs. "The bathroom is right there and I'll see about getting you some clothes."
