I opened the piece of paper, expecting something magnificent, like a treasure map, but instead of finding that, I found nothing. That's right! Nothing! I smiled. This guy really was crazy. What am I supposed to do with this? I put the blank sheet of paper down and opened the fridge.

"Man, uncovering secrets sure is thirsty work!" I exclaimed grabbing a pitcher of lemonade. I put the pitcher on the table by the note and grabbed a tall glass. As I turned around to put the glass on the table, my hand slammed into the pitcher, spilling all of the delicious liquid everywhere! It spilled over the table, into the chairs, and onto the floor. The perfect white floors directly below the table was now stained with a hint of yellow.

"Crap crap crap..." I said, I could feel the water build up behind my eyes. I've always been like this. I'm such a perfectionist, and whenever stuff like this happens I just wanna cry. I glanced over at the soaked table and saw the blank piece of paper. It was now soaked, with a transparent glare to it. Sitting down on the sopping wet chair, I pulled the paper towards me. A tear fell down my cheek and into the crevice of my mouth. As soon as that little bugger fell out, Niagara Falls began. More repressed emotions poured out of me like expensive wine.

I laid my head down on the paper and sobbed. I wept so hard that my head started hurting. "Mmmumph" I heard from behind me "are...uh...you okay?" A heavy began to pat my back. I lifted my head up and saw that it was Alek. "I ruined everything, I'm so sorry..." I mumbled and turned my head back to face the paper. As my eyes adjusted, I saw the paper was no longer blank. It now had lines and dots and words! It had colors of every shade! I never thought I'd be so happy to see something that looked like a kindergartener made it on Paint.

Alek smiled. "I see that you can see the paper. Follow me! Oh and don't worry about the mess I can fix that in a moment. We have things to discuss."

As we entered his room, a strange warmth entered my body. It wasn't like an outside warmth either, it was clearly inside of me, near my face region. I lifted my hand to my face and it was hot! "Alek!" I yelled, he turned quickly, obviously startled, "I think I'm dying! Why is my face all hot?" He did nothing but laugh. This was a serious matter and he was laughing!

"Haley, your fine. You are doing something called blushing. It's when you see someone as incredibly attractive as me." He joked. I felt more warmth, or blush, hit my face. I felt so stupid. I hate what happened to me. I can't believe I thought for a second that I would want to stay like this. I barely have a 6th grad education, and anything else I know is from me reading that encyclopedia when I was 16.

"Okay. We have to discuss this." Alek says in a teachery voice, "Haley, I feel that you are the only person that can help me on this quest.
