Siret POV
Bored. I was so gods damned bored. Nothing I did lately was remotely satisfying. This banishment has got to be the worst ever. A whole life cycle. So ridiculous. All because Staviti is a stupid, desperate man. That had me chuckling. What an idiot. How many times was he going to fall for our stupid tricks. When was he going to see that she would never love him. Huffing, I looked around at my brothers. They all looked just as bored as I did. Even Seduction, who had a slutty little Sol draped over his lap giggling annoyingly at whatever he was saying. He looked to be trying to involve Pain who was sitting next to him, but Pain looked about as interested as a dead goat. The Sol reached out to touch Pain, completely onboard for whatever Seduction was selling, but when her hand landed on his shoulder, she gasped and drew her hand back quickly like it had been bit. I began silently laughing. Pain was not feeling frisky today it seemed. Seduction shot Pain a look that was have bemused and half pleading. Pain just looked away from them both and met my eyes. Think of something for us to do. His eyes told me. I smirked back at him and stood up.
"Isn't today a big day here? Isn't there something happening today that we can mess with?" I asked the room. I asked the room but I knew that Strength would be the one to answer me.
"New dwellers." Strength said. "Arriving soon. Wonder what waste of space we will get assigned this time." Persuasion and Pain smirked at that, and Pain's eyes darkened. I clapped my hands together.
"Excellent! Pain, lets go terrify some dwellers." I said with heavy mock excitement.
"You got a plan?" He said will a small smirk. Have I got a plan. I was almost offended. "Of course I have a plan. Grab your crossbow." His smirk turned into a full smile.
"Why didn't you ask me to come?" Persuasion demanded. Pain was already walking away, I assume to get his weapon.
I looked at him with humor and exasperation. "Because I don't need to see all the new dirt dwellers naked twice today." Before he could throw a fit I turned and walked away, following after Pain.
---------
I focused on fabricating the ropes tying me to the tree while putting Pain in a blindfold. He balked a bit as the blindfold appeared over his eyes and cursed. "Hey dick, a little warning next time!" He growled. I started laughing as he lifted his crossbow, with every intention of shooting me. But then, I saw the dwellers approaching over his shoulder. There were about 20 dwellers and a few Sol guards walking through the gate. They had all stopped as if slamming into a wall, as the few leading the group stopped short staring at us.
Laughing harder at the confused and panicked looks I shouted "Turn!" to Pain, knowing he would know what I wanted. He began to turn, raising his arm seeming to aim dead center into the group of frozen dwellers. "Stop!" I demanded as his smirk appeared. I looked over again to see a gorgeous little blonde dweller. Tiny little thing whisper shouting with one of the older dwellers. Everyone in the group seem to be frozen, scared of what might possibly happen. But she didn't seem scared. She seems to be acting...almost indignant. Interesting. I guess pointing a crossbow isn't scary enough. Well that is easily fixed. I whispered, "fire".
He tilted the weapon up so that the bolt would fly well over all of their heads and fired, as I focused my energy on making it look like he shot right at the little blond dweller. She didn't seem to be anything but mildly annoyed, as if getting shot with a bolt was a normal thing for her. Just before the fake bolt was about to fake kill her, the dweller beside her kicked a leg out and knocked the blonde to the ground. She just dropped. Dead weight falling to the ground as if being dropped from above. No hesitation. No scream in protest or at impact. She just stared at the ground for a click as if accepting that she was on it, and then looked back up at Pain. Still no fear in her face. She watched as Pain removed his blindfold and walked up to her.
She seemed to be staring him directly in his eyes. I couldn't see his face, but I could tell by the way he was holding himself that he was uncomfortable with the way she was staring at him. She was supposed to be terrified and bumbling over the situation and the Sol that just tried to shoot her. Hell any other dweller would probably apologize for not being hit by the bolt. The corners of her mouth tipped down slightly, almost unnoticeably as Pain turned and walked away from her, leaving her on the ground. She then turned her attention to me. Curious, if not slightly annoyed.
I made a show of untying myself from the tree and then made my way to her. "Dear little dirt-dwellers!" I announced to the group. " Welcome to Blesswood, and to the beginning of the rest of your lives! Try not to get in the way when my brother decides he's bored." Ha. Or me. Or any of us really. Then the older dweller spoke. "Or when you decide you're bored." He tried to mutter it by I heard it, and I saw the little blonde dwellers lips quirk up in mild amusement. Huh. She was interesting. I closed the space between us and reached my hand out to help her up. I assumed she would grab it immediately and then apologize for touching me and acting so... odd. Instead, she just stared at me. Dead in the eyes. The look on her face told me she had no intention of letting me help her up. I
I was just about to pull my hand back baffled when the dweller who kicked her cleared her throat. The sound got an immediate reaction and she grabbed my hand quickly. I could that it was reluctant. As I pulled her up with ease she stumbled a little and stepped on my foot. Normally that would cause a huge fuss, because god forbid a dirty dirt dweller step on my foot, but I was too busy staring at her eyes. They were gorgeous and filled with life. And they were assessing me like I was a puzzle that she didn't know what to do with. What to do with indeed. Who was this dweller. I let my eyes roam her and realized again that she was very small but in the cutest way.
She was dressed like dirt dweller and didn't look particularly great but there was just something about her. The way she held herself maybe? She didn't cow to me like all the other dwellers and some of the Sols did. She shy away, or close in on herself. She genuinely seemed to not care I was there or looking at her, or that I almost just had her killed for fun. Odd. "See you round, Rocks." I sang as I walked away from her. Because I knew for a fact that I would be seeing her around, and for the first time in a very long time, I was very intrigued. Why did I feel like things were finally about to get interesting around here?
