Omega.

It was a term that wasn't often heard anymore, given the fact that they were more or less not even one percent of the population anymore. Finding one was extremely rare. It was said the moon goddess took them from the earth after they were treated so horribly by the packs, ranking them the lowest of the low and only used for breeding. The goddess put omegas on this earth to create life and help lead their clans, not to be trampled over like dirt.

And so, the angered goddess took them away. Ever since it was hard for pups to survive. Betas weren't exactly parent material and alphas simply had no time. Deltas managed to raise most of the little ones without too much trouble but they had to grow up fast and begin training in order to help protect the pack.

If by chance, an omega was found, they would be given the title of 'Luna' and would become a mate to the most powerful alpha with the strongest clan. But that certain alpha was just currently focused on finding his soul mate, be it an omega or beta.

Draven and his clan were feared throughout the world but he took his strongest and smartest warriors and set out to find a mate. Most places welcomed him with fear and fake politeness. It was an unintentional mockery, the people assuming he was there to murder them after he had made it clear he only killed traitors and those who were out to harm him or his pack. Though there were a few who greeted him happily in hopes he would take one of them as a mate. Outside of his own clan, he hardly found any deltas. The only omega he had known in his life was his mother. Sadly, she had passed away when he was being trained by his father to take his place as alpha of their clan, Clan Invicta. The Invicta clan had the largest amount of territory that no one would ever dare to attack. The territory covered the entire coastline with homes built to withstand the strongest of hurricanes as well as attacks from any enemies. Their defenses were the strongest throughout history and Draven prayed to the goddess that it would stay that way.

"Landon." He spoke through his bond to the brown wolf next to him as he slowed to a walk.

"Yes, alpha?"

Draven, his hot dark paws melting through the snow that covered the ground, looked over to his second in command and best friend, "We just crossed into Glacies Clan territory, correct?"

"That's right, alpha." Landon smiled. It was the same smile he gave him growing up whenever he felt Draven was starting to silently doubt himself. He was always such a good friend to him, even before he presented as an alpha and came of age to take over leadership of the clan, "They already know we are coming."

"Good." The alpha let out an annoyed sigh, "Father said this clan used to have gentle leaders but things have changed. Last I heard, the current leader was a snobby and pig-headed beta."

"This should be fun, then." They all began to run through the frozen forest in hopes they wouldn't be here long.

...

"Jillian!" A loud, shrill voice echoed through the small home, "The dining area better be spotless!"

Jillian, she hated that name. Her aunt had renamed her, refusing to call her by the beautiful birth name her mother had given her just before she died after giving birth to her. Melody was the name her mother had given her and it was a name she treasured. When her father passed away, her aunt Sable took over as leader of their territory. Her aunt, jealous as always, hated her niece and tried to down on her in every way she possibly could. Though she was a beta, she was rich and always got her way. There were no alphas alive in the clan and no omegas...

Except for her. Melody.

But she hid her dynamic with suppressants she made herself from various herbs. Growing up, her father had warned her to keep her true self hidden from everyone. Omegas did not exist and bad things would happen to one if they were ever found. She posed as a beta. Her aunt refused to let anyone know what she was because she wanted her daughters to be the center of attention when it came to everyone. Sable refused to let anyone take her secret omega away. There would be no one to serve them if she was taken away from them, even though harboring an unclaimed omega was illegal. Sable knew her niece would be adored if she was to ever be discovered. It was the last thing she wanted for her sister's daughter.
