Tris's POV:
I wake to the sound of a buzzing alarm clock, and Christina screaming at me to wake up. Christina's parents "adopted" me into their foster home.
Today is my first day at a new school, in Chicago.
I groan and roll out of bed. "You have to let me do your make-up!!!" Chrissy shrieks.
"Nooo. No. No!!!!" I shake my head. "Let me get ready for my first day by myself... please." I hug her "Thank you though..."
"Fine." She huffs and walks off to eat breakfast.
I take a quick shower, cold so I won't use all of the hot water before Christina showers.
I dry off then wrap my hair up in the towel I used.
Today is about first impressions, making a good first impression is what I need to focus on, at my old school I wasn't very good at that.
I put on some knee length shorts and a crop top that says 'Who says girls can't fight' I got it before I moved here because I took Mixed Martial Arts and I plan on getting back into it.
The crop top shows off my tight stomach, I have small abs, but I think that too much muscle on a girl is un-attractive. I throw on some converse, I myself am not used to wearing shoes being that I spend half of my time in the dojo.
While straightening my long blonde hair Chris yells "Come on or we will be late!"
"I'm coming!" I yell back and grab an apple to eat on the way out.
——Time Lapse——
We pull up to the school and I suddenly feel a huge knot take over my stomach, it feels like my heart migrated to my throut. I swollow hard and walk to the front office to get my schedual;
P1: AP Reading
P2: AP History
P3: AP Math
P4: Free period
P5: Lunch
P6: Athletics/Chior
P7: Creative Writing
Studying the schedual I accedently bump into someone and my books scatter all over the floor, great I'm making an awesome first impression.
"Here let me help you with that..." I boy my age helps me stand then picks my books up for me.
"Thanks." I smile weakly "I'm sorry-. I didn't catch your name." My eyes lock on his.
"Four." He hands me my books. "And you?"
"Tris." I say carefully. "I'm new here." I shove my books back in my backpack.
"I can tell." He chuckles. "See you later, Tris."
I burry my face in my hands and blush wildly then get my act together and head to first period.
"I see the new student doesn't know how to tell time, considering she is ten minutes late." The teacher scolds me.
"Sorry I-" I begin to say but Four cuts me off.
"I bumped into her in the hallway and she dropped all of her books, they took a while to get back into her book bag." He looks at me but quickly looks away.
"Students, this is your new classmate, Beatrice Prior."
"It's just Tris" I wave then sit in between Four and Christina.
"That's Mr. Hayes, he's Peter's dad, I'm pretty sure you'll meet Peter sometime today." Christina explains.
"Ahhh." I nod. "He sounds lovely."
"Ha. You haven't seen the worst of him." Four smirks.
"Can't wait." I joke.
"So today, students..." I too get lost in Four's eyes to pay attention to Mr. Hayes.
"Tris..." Christina says. I ignore her. "Tris..." She says louder this time. "Tris!" She yells and I snap out of my daze.
"What?!" I yell back and put my arms up ready to defend myself, karate habits.
"Why were you staring at Four?" Christina says, a smirk creeping across her face.
Well for starters, he has the most beautiful eyes...
"He just looks farmilliar." I shake my head "Let's go to our next class."
