I wanted to tell you yes. That I was deeply affected by what you said, but what would you think? That I was being childish? So I lied. I lied because I was afraid of myself. My thoughts. The power they had over me that changed a plain sentence from a friend who was simply playing with me, into a hurtful insult that shook me to the core.
