I stayed completely still not daring to move a single muscle. Who knows whether the creature was going to kill me, but I hope it will at least make it fast.
No movement. No steps. No sounds. Then a shrill, high pitched scream, that seemed to tear the flesh right off my bones, and rupture my eardrums. I looked up at the beast, seeing it's head swivel. so fast that if I didn't no better I would have thought it had snapped it's neck.
The beast's eats moved back and forth flicking towards me then towards the barren landscape. It was still until there was another cry. It bolted I barely saw it leave.
Once again I am alone.
