You walk into a café that you've never really noticed before. You were on your way to work and this past week had been really stressful for you. At this point in the day you just wanted to get some coffee and get to work. The grind of a typical office job is getting to be too much to handle these days. As you entered there was an unexpected vibe coming from inside of the café. Almost warm. You scanned the interior as you walked towards the line to order. You noticed the sign "Daylight Café" What a cute name you thought to yourself. The line proceeded to move forward, as you progressed closer to the counter you noticed the man standing behind of it. Time seemed to stop as you laid eyes on him. He appeared almost unreal, ethereal if you may. You were enchanted by his beauty and the fact that he seemed to omit the radiation of the sun with just his smile. You were, in fact, so enchanted that you hadn't realized it was your turn to order. Also the fact that you had been staring at him for quite some time now. The impatient customers snapped you back to reality along with the barista speaking up. Clearing his throat before he spoke. You quickly looked away from his direction and started to blush immensely. When he started speaking you lifted your head, carefully to avoid eye contact. Due to the extreme embarrassment at this point you just wanted to leave but you desperately needed coffee to get through your day. "What can I get for you today, miss?" He spoke with a sincere tone that made you blush even more then you already were. You felt your cheeks get hotter and was sure that by now they were color of an apple. How was this man okay with you, an unattractive weirdo, just staring at him for what seemed to be a solid five minutes. "I'll just h-have a regular iced c-coffee." You tried your best to mutter out your words but ended up stuttering. "Name?" He responded with that sunshine smile still plastered to his face. "Y/N" you smiled slightly as you tucked a piece of your hair behind your ear. When you were finished paying you walked towards where you would pick up your coffee from. A couple of moments passed "Iced coffee for Y/N" With your drink now in hand you rushed out of the shop avoiding any sort of eye contact with the man behind the counter. You looked at a strange note attached to your cup. Written on it: "I may have noticed you staring and I'd be lying if I said I didn't stare as well, call me (123)123-1234." You gasped almost dropping your recently purchased beverage. You were startled by your phone ringing but you quickly picked it up. "Hello?" you asked not bothering to read the caller ID before answering. Thinking wow, I haven't even entered his number into my phone "Miss Y/L/N, I'm sorry to be telling you this over the phone but I figured I would save you the hassle of commuting." In that instance your heart dropped, it was your boss and you somehow knew where this conversation was going. One week prior there was an incident with a co-worker. Your boss' son had sexually harassed you and you were unsure whether or not to report it in fear of this exact moment that was occurring. "... You have been terminated and I would advise you not come into the building to collect your things. I will have them boxed and shipped to your address." Tears started to form in your eyes. Even though you didn't particularly enjoy your current job, it was all you had. You didn't have any family or anyone to help support you. You had been on your own for quite some time now and in this moment you felt helpless. There was nothing you could do to make this situation better. "I understand." You spoke lightly as to avoid the tears that were threatening to fall. With that statement he hung up and there you were, standing in the middle of the street with the tears now heavily falling from your eyes. As you began walking home you decided to stop for a moment just to process what had happened and you found yourself outside of that café once again. Now drying your tears and your vision coming back in to focus you notice a help wanted sign in the corner of the window.
