Chapter Forty

Yoongi's POV

"She spoke to you?" I watched as Namjoon poured a shot glass and down it in one go. He sucked in his tongue and let out a 'whew.' He stared back at me from over the counter.

"Yes."

".....How did that go?"

Namjoon gave me a look and poured another shot.

All the tension in the room almost made me explode. Although I may be known for my temper, Namjoon being moody was probably the worst. He was unpredictable. If he was calm and collected, you couldn't tell if he was pissed off or just... not caring.

Seeing him now made nervous.

"Yoongi, if you would have told you liked her sooner, this could've been avoided..." he stepped closer with his glass in hand. My eyes locked on his tense grip, waiting for them to release and reach out.

He held his gaze for a minute before laughing and setting an empty glass in front of me. Instead of the fight I thought was going to break out, he started pouring whatever kind of alcohol in the glass.

"Let's outdrink each other," Namjoon pushed the glass towards me, liquid slipping out. I caught it before it fell off the counter and glanced back at him. His smirk told me he was serious.

"Namjoon we have school tomorrow."

The silent eye he gave me forced my hand to bring the glass to my mouth and down it. The liquid burned my throat and settled heavy. Vodka. Damn it.

He poured me another glass.

"Isn't it your turn?" I blinked at the newly filled glass.

He shrugged, "I already had a few before you, it's only fair."

"God...."

"Wake up!"

Someone's soft hands slapped my cheeks, but my face was so numb I could barely feel it. It tickled, so I laughed. My eyes attempted to open but the harsh light made me wince and groan. A headache started to throb and rattle in my head.

"Oh my god..."

The voice sounded familiar, but I was too far on cloud nine to even bother thinking about my dignity.

"I-it was...Nam...Joooooon," I hiccupped, my mouth feeling like cotton. "He told me to do it."

"Shut up! You snitch," his voice slurred somewhere near me. Forcing my eyes to squint open, I peered around and saw him lying on the floor next to me, face down with his fingers still wrapped around the empty vodka bottle. He looked stupid. I laughed.

"Do you know what time it is?" the familiar voice hissed from above me. It was Seon.

"Seoooooooon!"

"No, it's three in the morning."

This made me giggle, "Who cares?" My arms flopped weirdly when I attempted to shrug. All the sudden, the cool marble floor felt comfortable.

"Don't go back to sleep!"

I whined, "Or what?"

There was a loud sigh. I don't get it. Why was she so grumpy?

"You do realize we have to go to school tomorrow, right?"

In my drunken mind, this sent only slight worry. Barely anything.

"We don't have..."

"Have what?"

"To go!" I reached out and caged her body in my arms, pulling her down with me and pinning her underneath. Now that I wasn't looking up at the harsh light, I was able to see her better. She had just gotten of the shower, her hair wet and face damp. Why was she walking around with no jacket on? She'd get sick.

I let go of her arms and sat up, attempting to pull off the hoodie I was wearing, but everything felt heavy. Growing irritated and impatient, I groaned and straightened my back. To hold my weight, I supported myself by shifting to my knees instead of sitting on her.

As I was pulling it off, I realized that I, in fact, did not have a shirt underneath. But all this work? To not take it off? To hell.

Finally, I had tugged it off, letting out an exhausted sigh.

"Y-yoongi," Seon sounded confused, "what are you doing?"

"Take it," I dropped the inside out hoodie ontop of her.

"Huh-"

"I'm falling," I announced before passing out.
