****HUGE TRIGGER WARNING****
IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE TO ANY SUCH SUICIDAL TENDENCIES OR IT BEING DESCRIBED, I RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT READ THIS PART.

You were just about to commit your seventh attempt at suicide; setting your rewritten, taped together, uncrumpled note at the edge of the roof. You stand at the edge and close your eyes, taking a deep breath. You fall forward, but immediately feel a hand grab your wrist and an arm wrap around your waist to pull you back. You are immediately pulled into his arms again, cradled by the man. Once again, he was sobbing for you, gently and shakily stroking your hair.

"Please, (Y/N)...stop doing this...please..." The red and black haired man whispered to you. You didn't move as he hugged you tight, his shoulders shaking fiercely. Five more minutes of this had passed by before he let you go. He wiped his face of tears, then looked back at you. "Why do you still do this? Why?" He asks you. You only look him in the eyes. The eyes that once reflected (E/C) were as dull and broken as you felt. Mark took you back to his house like he always did when you had a problem. He sat down with you in his recording studio and waited for you to speak.

"Mark, I can't explain this over and over to you from the very beginning." Your voice was barely audible, just a small, broken whisper. "You know what happened to me. You know the horrible dreams and memories that flash past my eyes. You know I have nobody else left. You know I don't want to live. You know why I don't want to live. And you know I love you...but I can't keep suffering without an outcome I desire." Tears flow freely down your cheeks without your voice cracking- not even once. "I used to cut myself because I thought slowly killing myself was worth the pain. I tried to drown because I thought it'd be just like passing out. I nearly hung myself because I wanted it to be painless. I almost shot myself because it would be quick. I would've overdosed if I didn't throw up every time I swallowed a pill too many. I took poison because I thought it would be a metal way to die. Lastly, I wanted to fall off the roof because it would kill me before I hit the ground." You let out. Mark put his head in his hands, still sobbing at the fact that you tried to kill yourself so many times.

"(Y/N)..." He whispered. You waited for something to come after that, because something always did. Instead of a scolding, a hug, or some supportive and loving words you'd usually receive from your loving friend, you received a low laugh. "(Y/N)..." You quickly came to realise it wasn't Mark you were with anymore as his red hair faded into a dark black while his tan skin was drained of color, turning it a pasty white.

"What do you want? Influence me more to leave him?" You mutter under your breath, which was somewhat shallow. Dark looked up at you, glitching with every move.

"I want you to realize he won't stop stopping you. He deeply cares for you, (Y/N). He will keep you alive for his mental sake."

"And you are telling me old news, why?" You lean away from the evil-minded man.

"You do know I am more than happy to oblige to kill you." You raise one eyebrow, then shake the expression from your face. But it was too late, he saw your interest. "I only have one condition in order for me to do it." He states. You stay quiet. You know better than to listen to this man. He sighs and then chuckles, glitching violently. "My condition is that you have to-"

"Shut up." You snap. He glitches to your seat and pushes it over.

"Don't tell me what to do. You know I am nobody to mess with."

"Which is my point in why I want you silent." You hiss, rolling out of the chair to get away from him. You stand and walk to the door, but it locks as you grab the handle. You turn around and he's already there. He brutally grabs you by the neck and raises you up, pushing you up against the door off the ground. You don't even try at the slightest to struggle or breathe. Dark lets you go to fall to the floor and you frown, sitting at the bottom of the door with a slight bruise in the shape of his fingerprints forming on your neck.

"Are you this desperate to die?" Dark bends over to try and look you in the eye, but you keep your head down. He glitches back to standing straight, then is suddenly sitting back in the chair where Mark was. He put himself back in the head holding position, and the red color in his hair and tan color to his skin floods back. He tenses up and raises his head to see you at the door.

"Oh god, (Y/N), what happened?!" He asked as he kneeled down and checked you for injuries. He stopped when he saw the bruises on your neck. "Did-did he come through again?" You nod and Mark hugs you. "I'm so sorry."

"Mark..." You push him away for the first time in forever. He looks at you with concern and confusion.

"What? Is something wrong?" Mark sits in his legs, ready to try and comfort you. You shake your head.

"You only want me alive for yourself, don't you?" Obviously, he was taken aback. But he shook his head and gave you an answer.

"I want you alive because it would kill me if you died..."

"So you d-"

"Because I love you, (Y/N)." He finishes, trying to look you in the eye.

"You've told me many times. But why do you still want me-"

"No, (Y/N)!" He shouts, and you finally look up at him; mostly in surprise. Mark hasn't shouted at you in years. "You don't get it, do you?" He gives you a sad and annoyed expression. "I say I love you, because I love you. You don't get what I mean, though. I love you, (Y/N). I love you. Not as a friend...but more. If you died, it would break me..."

"I..." You tried to start a sentence, but you didn't expect this to come of his words. You hadn't realised this. It was because you were too focused on yourself and trying to get rid of your own problems. That you didn't see what you needed to cure your unhappiness. "Mark, you...You're not lying, are you?"

"Have I ever lied to you?" He stares right into your eyes. Almost your soul. You haven't noticed how dull his chocolate brown eyes had become over the time you've tried to kill yourself.

"No." You answer. This time, you were the one to hug him. "I'm so sorry...I haven't noticed, I...I wanted to...You couldn't have..." You didn't even know what you wanted to tell him. You just wanted to assure him now that you'd stay there for him. As hard as you tried. Even with a new influence after you.

He hugged you back.

"I understand." He whispers. "Just please...promise me one thing?"

"Yes?"

"Don't lie."
