This wasn't what he wanted. It really wasn't. When Roman would come to him, seeking reassurance, seeking comfort, seeking the truth... He thought he was helping. He thought he was being good. But, no. he wasn't good. He'd never be good.

Deceit ran through the mindscape, eyes wide. It was dark, it was no longer vibrant. There was no noise from the kitchen, where Patton usually cooked each morning. There was no Patton. No more Morality.

Logan was gone too. He wasn't in any of his usual work spaces. Logic no longer existed. Deceit whimpered, dashing to the control room. Virgil. Anxiety. He had to still be here. He had to be.

"Virgil!" Deceit yelled, spinning around the room. "Virgil! Are you not there?!" No response. Panic filled the scale faced side. "VIRGIL!"

"D-Dis... Dis...c-cord...!" Deceit's eyes widened at his name, and he spun around to see Virgil in the corner, pale and... no... no, he was fading!

"Virgil!" Deceit ran over, reaching out. But he was too late. Virgil fell forward, to his knees. Then, he was gone. Just... disappeared. He was gone!

"Such a sad sight." Deceit froze, slowly peering over his shoulder.

"Roman..." Roman smirked, his eyes an unusual shade of red. "What... what are you not doing?!" Deceit exclaimed, eyes wide. "This is you!"

"You're right. This is me." Roman replied, voice smooth like a snake. He stepped closer, and Deceit backed up, right into the wall.

"I-I'm... Wrong?" Deceit choked out.

"Oh, Discord. Sweet little Diss..." Roman lifted a hand to Deceit's chin, holding it quite roughly. Deceit swallowed thickly. "Haven't you realized? I'm not Creativity. I'm not Confidence either... I'm not Roman." Roman's eyes twinkled as he leaned closer, whispering in Deceit's ear. "I'm Pride... And I'm the best in the world."

No...

"Just like you said."

"Th-that... I-I always meant for you to go this far!" Deceit whimpered. "R-Roman, you have to ignore me! You can do this!" Roman chuckled.

"Don't you see? We both get what we want. There's no one standing in our way now." he whispered, caressing Deceit's cheek. Deceit clamped his eyes shut. He never wanted this! "I get to make Thomas into what he needs to be... and you get to help. You can be truth, Discord!"

Deceit's eyes snapped open at that. Truth....? He could be... good? N-no... no, he was 'good' once before... Reassurance just turned to Deceit and Lies.... It could never be Truth...

"I-it's... it's possible..." Deceit choked out. "R-Roman-"

"That's not my name!" Roman snarled, gripping Deceit's face roughly. Deceit whimpered. "You want this... I know you, Diss. I know you... Just give in, like I did. It feels so good."

He'd never felt good before...

"B-b-bad...?" Deceit whispered. Roman- No... No, Pride... Pride nodded, leaning closer.

"Give in... I want to be with you. Together. Give into me." his lips brushed against Deceit's, and Deceit shivered. He... he wanted to... Deceit-... Truth. He was Truth...

Truth closed his eyes, connecting his lips with Pride's, who held him close. Truth felt cold at first. It was so cold, but Pride's arms were around him, keeping him safe and warm. Heat rose in Truth's chest, and he moaned into the kiss. Pride was right. It felt so good.

Truth was good.
