"We have nothing to talk about," Janice hissed into the phone.  She glanced towards the entrance and saw the girls smiling and talking.  "How did you get this number?"

Bruce laughed into the phone. "Oh you silly and selfish woman, we have a lot to talk about," he said.  "And it shouldn't matter how I got this number.  What matters is that you fucking lied to me!"

Janice felt the blood drain from her face.  "What do you want?"

"I want the truth!" he hissed at her.  "You've lied to me for twenty-seven years! The fact that my daughters are alive and well and that they aren't dead and buried in the grave with Summer.  I saw them! I saw them with my own two eyes!"

"I am not going to discuss this with you right now," she hissed back at him and glanced over and saw Katia waving at her.  She waved back and then held up her finger as to say I'll be right there.

"Well, you better decide when and were Janice.  You can't keep them or hide them from me any longer!"

She sighed heavily.  "When?"

"Tomorrow morning at ten.  12th Street Cafe," he growled at her.  He had never known such anger in his life.

"Fine," she said angrily.

"Janice, what are their names?" He asked.  "She never told me."

Janice couldn't help but laugh.  "I think I shouldn't tell you either."

"Don't keep being a bitch, Janice."

"Kaia and Katia.  Bennet.  She gave them your surname," she said.

Bruce couldn't help but gasp at her words and then reined himself back in.  "Don't be late," he told her and hung up.

Janice took several deep breaths before she got up from the table and went to where the girls were waiting.  "All good?" She asked them.

"Yes, we were trying to decide where to go for ice cream," Kaia said.  "Janice are you alright?"

"You look a little frazzled," Katia said.

"Yes...yes, I'm alright," she said.  "Frankie called.  He's getting antsy that I'm not home yet, but I told him he was just going to make his own lunch today."

The girls laughed as they left the restaurant and headed out to the car and went to get some ice cream.  The rest of the afternoon was pleasant and even Kaia enjoyed herself.  Janice dropped them off at the beach house.

Janice hardly slept a wink during the night. She was dreading this meeting with Bruce. She had talked to Frankie about it when she got home from her day with the girls and he told her that it was time for him to know the truth. That the girls were old enough to decide what they wanted to do.

She got up and showered and got dressed and headed to the 12th Street Cafe. She got there a little earlier than the designated time and ordered herself a very large coffee. Her nerves were on edge.  She kept glancing at her phone to check the time, waiting in anticipation.

Bruce had spent the morning looking back at things he had kept from his time with Summer. Letters and pictures.  It was a magical time in his life. He just wished he would not have been so afraid to tell her how he truly felt, he wished he would have told her he was going to leave his wife for her. Summer was the one who held his heart.

He was still reeling from the fact his daughters were alive, his babies. He had missed so much of their lives, he needed to know why Janice hid them away from him.  He got dressed in a cream-colored suit before taking off to meet with the woman that was going to give him the answers he deserved.
