I know that last part ended in a cliffhanger, but I already wrote a Kaz part. And Jesper's pretty awesome so here you go.

Also Llewellyn lolololol

After Kaz left, the small party at Nina's house kind of dissipated. No one was talking and everyone was really bored, so Nina sent everyone home. Jesper was sad about it, but he did get to leave with a Tupperware full of waffles. Wylan tagged along, of course. He didn't want to go straight home to his father's. When they reached Jesper's house, Colm (My favorite character BTW) was waiting angrily by the door.

In his thick Kaelish accent, Colm bellowed, "Jesper Llewellyn Fahey. Where have you been!" Jesper groaned. He completely forgot to call his father about Nina's get-together! He trudged up the steps to his house, Wylan close behind.

When the pair reached the door, Wylan asked, "Should I leave, or..."

Although Wylan was clearly talking to Jesper, Colm answered. "Yes. You should go home. I have to take some... disciplinary action with my son." Both Jesper's and Wylan's eyes grew large. Wylan backed away. When he got to the bottom step, he turned and ran.

Jesper looked sheepishly as his father. "Look, Dad. I'm--"

"Let's finish this inside, Jesper." Colm marched into the house.

****a few seconds later****

"Dad, seriously. I didn't mean--"

"Jesper, I know you didn't." Colm let out a weary sigh. "I was... worried. That's all." Jesper's pleading face turned into a frown. He knew what Colm had to live with with a son like Jesper. Jesper never followed the rules and was regularly in detention, and Colm couldn't always leave his job as a farmhand to pick him up.

Also, Jesper wasn't the most responsible, and often said things he shouldn't. Like the time when Kaz was throwing a surprise party for Inej. Jesper had music class with her that day, and while they were having small talk, he accidentally spilled the beans. Kaz couldn't trust him for a long time after that, even though they were old friends.

Jesper studied his hands, which were not fidgeting for the first time in months. "I'm sorry, Dad," he mumbled, trying to hold back his shame. Jesper knew his father will have enough of him at one time or another. He just wasn't sure when that will be.

****about an hour later**** (Sorry, lots of time jumps in this one)

Jesper had his phone on his chest as he rested on his bed. It suddenly beeped, awakening him from his stupor. It was Inej.

10:15 pm

Inej: Hey, Jesper

Jesper: Hi.

Inej: U ok?

Jesper: Yeah

Jesper: ...

Jesper: No.

Inej: Whats wrong?

Jesper: My dads disappointed in me. It sucks.

Jesper: I said Im sorry and hes still disappointed.

Inej: Jesper, Mati en shevi yelu.

Jesper: What?

Inej: This action will have no echo. It's Suli

Inej: It means you won't make the same mistake again.

Jesper: ...

Jesper: Thx

Jesper's phone went silent. His mind didn't.

Inej. Inej is a sankta.

He fell asleep, with the light still on and the phone still on his chest.
