"Twenty-eight, twenty-nine and thirty! Ready or not here I come!"
A soft pitchy voice called in the distance, this voice belonged to one of your dear friends. A grin escaped your pink soft lips as you were hiding behind a bush, you couldn't help to think that you were going to win this game 'I am so smart, nobody is going to find me!'
It was an afternoon during November, you were at your grandma's place. You and your family used to live with her, but as you turned five you moved to New Jersey. You still didn't understand why you had to move, but you never questioned it to your mother.
Here at your grandma's, you had all your friends and cousins, all of your childhood and memories. It was really beautiful here, it was mostly rural, full of trees, plants, and animals! It was just so beautiful! The best part is that every single tree is in bright colors such as yellows, oranges, reds, browns and some greens. Some can have a sweet smell, while others are almost sour or bitter, but they are all good to you.The damp earth combined with old fallen leaves, pine cones, and fragrance of wildflowers enlighten the beautiful biome.
Within the multitude of soft chocolatey browns, the tall pine trees there is gold shining through vividly. Wind whistled in a melodic way accompaning the laughter of children, mixed with the beautiful sounds of nature. There you sat, not minding all the dirt and soil getting into your dress. Your once shiny white dress shoes now covered in mud, and your marvelous hair tangled.
The footsteps and screaming had stopped, which you guessed that everyone was gone. So you got your little butt up, dusting yourself to get rid of any soil left on your dress, and started walking seemingly.
You didn't want to risk it to go to the counting spot yet, so you just went to explore completely forgetting about the game.
As you were walking you were greeted by a fullness of serenity, it was so peaceful yet too boring for you. You started kicking the leaves while looking around humming to a song.
Just then you saw a black rabbit a couple feet from you, it twitched its cute nose as it stared at you. Mystery and curiosity reflected off it's big doe eyes, not leaving your tiny form as it scanned you.
"Hey, little friend" you cooed at it.
You crouched to see it more closely with a smile, but you kept the distance just in case if it tried to devour you alive. The small black fluff ball just stared at you not blinking, this made you frown in worry.
You snap your fingers in front of it hopping that you did not traumatized a poor little creature.
"Hey, am I that ugly?" You said worriedly.
Just then it blinks twice and its little feet carried it towards the dancing trees. Disappointed was visible in your eyes, and as if the rabbit felt your sadness it came to a stop between two tall trees.
Without a second thought you followed its steps slowly, really slowly. "What happened little buddy?" You whispered at it smiling, "do you have something to show me?"
Surprisingly it twisted its ears to the side in response, and it started leaping.
"Do you have family?" You followed it with a giggle wondering where it would guide you to. But the rabbit remained full of mystery as it continued its journey. The fluffball would time to time stop, and look at you to make sure you were following it. This made you giggle to see the tiny creature grow afond of you, so in order to say thanks you started humming the only melody that you know.
Eventually, seconds converted to minutes, and you were about give up until you saw a rock-like path. Everything from that point was all green on full of tall grass and wild flowers, meaning that no one has been in this part of the woods.
