Chapter 4:

A day with my new friend Joshua. He's not hard to get along with. He seems very easy to read, childish and apperantly, he loves mythology...but I won't consider 'us' as mythological...that's just so wrong.

We were sitting outside of the building where we stayed and chatted. I sat on the grass fields near the lake where we met and he was on his wheelchair. He kept his sketchpad open and scribbled faces of random people.

''You've never felt anything for anyone before?'' he asked.

''Nope...'' I said plainly. ''Why should I?''

''Tell me the truth.. I can see you're lying.'' he smiled.

My eyes widened. ''What? I'm not lying!''

''Yes you are!'' he chuckled. ''Your cheeks are plush red. So..There is 'someone' you like.'' He grinned.

I mumbled in Greek. ''So what? Love is just a game to me, either you give in and lose, get hurt or you play a fool of someone then no harm done. Zeus sent me here to meet someone who'd prove me wrong.'' I explained.

''That's harsh....'' he continued to sketch a face. ''Love is....something precious...You can't read about it or learn...it just comes. It's a feeling of happiness, curiosity of a person and much more.'' he smiled. ''It's a beautiful thing Aros... Don't just think of it as a game.''

His hand moved pretty quick as he talked. ''Really? Now...Have you ever fell in love?''

He chuckled and gave a sly smile. ''I don't know...maybe?'' he kept sketching.

I sighed and looked up the sky. ''Really? And who might that girl be?''

''Oh, she's pretty, unlike any girl I've ever met.'' he smiled and slowly moved the pencil across the paper, tracing down the eyes of the face. ''People might think she's...well...weird or something and people see her differently...but that doesn't mind me.''

''Really? How pretty is she then?'' I laughed. This feeling is different. I feel rather, calm and peaceful now. ''Could you describe?''

''Well...'' he paused for a moment. ''She has beautiful eyes, like diamonds that sparkle when you look at it...and her smile is very soft....you can rarely see her smile...so I guess I got a lucky chance to see it.''

''I see, Is she.....as beautiful as Aphrodite?'' I chuckled.

''Not to offend her but... She's more beautiful.'' he grinned and lifted up his sketch pad. ''I haven't get to know her that much yet but...I wish I'll still get the chance to talk to her 'till I ...--'' he put his sketchpad on his lap.

He paused. I looked at him and glanced at his sketchpad with teardrop markings on it. My eyes widened. The sketch of the girl was beautiful. She was smiling brightly, as brightly as the stars and the sun.

Then I realize....the sketch of the girl was me. ''A-Aros...I really want to help you...'' he cried out. ''But maybe I won't reach until the time you actually find 'him...cause I'd be torn to pieces... B-But...If I do help you till you get to go back to Olympus, I can't live without you... I'd be happy to die then.... '' he smiled sadly.

''Y-You....? Y-You love me? B-But how?? I just met you a week ago.'' I stood up furiously. Though my heart pounded against my chest.

He looked up at me with his teary eyes. ''Have you ever heard about 'Love-at-first-sight?'' he grinned.

''T-That's just...too childish...'' I shook my head. ''This must be Eros' doing! Y-You might be sick...or ...something..'' I denied it.

''I am not sick, Aros.'' he protested. ''C-Can I ask you something...?''

I starred at him. ''What is it....?''

''To help you... May I court you? Even if it's the last thing I do. I love you,  Aros... I will teach you...or help you how.'' he grinned.

I was at shock. My knees were shaking and I feel my blood was drained out of me. ''J-Joshua.....'' My voice trembled. I don't know how to react to this. Do I just pity him and do what he wants me to do or.. Just sinking in everything he said? ''I-I.....Y-You...you may.'' I said under my breath.

The thing is, he has a weak heart, luckily he's still alive at the age of 21. Though that way be his limit, he's gotten into many heart failures these past few days. And depression won't be a good thing for him. So.....why not give him a chance?
