Fading Time

Ralph

It has been a week since our long lost time fading away from society. Or maybe more than a week. Who knows? Time is gone anyway. Piggy decided to sleep near the beach with Simon as Jack and his hunters thrive on the mountain. Me, however, Ralph lived in the middle. I didn't really care whose side is on what so ever but I just couldn't help but think about Jack.

The first time I saw him, I was intrigued and gazed at him as he grinned, choosing me as the leader. When he chose me, I was embarrassed, my voice soft. My cheek flushed red as my throat began to burn. I looked away as he smiled. He somehow caught me. His hair was deep red, colored bloody and his skin was so tanned, perfectly rich. His accent was a bit deep, sexily arousing. He was strong, I had to admit. One night, someone wanted to mess with him and prove that they could beat him. Jack, irritated, punched him in the guts and flipped him upside down, a loud crack popping from the boys' back. The boy howled in pain and flipped him off. Not even I could beat him. Sure, I look okay, a skinny lad with freckles everywhere on my fockin' face. He meant real trouble whenever he'd stare at the boys, his fist clenching. I just couldn't believe he's that popular with the boys. I was envious of him.

Yet he always knew how much I hated him. Every remark I gave him, he'd hit me back with an irritable remark. It felt like playing an endless game with the person he admired so much. Still, he hates him. There was no such thing with love on this island.
