Chapter 9

Back at the party,people were surrounding them thanking and blessing them. They had got their formal wear again. They took all the compliments politely trying to get away from the crowd.
The truth was,Chat Noir really needed to talk to Ladybug
Like what was she going to say to the Reporter about the last question? Did she like him like that? Or was he just a friend?
These thoughts kept him busy untill they reached a private area on one of the levels where they were all alone.
They were silent for a while untill Ladybug finally got the courage to speak.
" So um,did you happen to hear what I was saying to the Reporter or didn't you?
He nodded. She blushed
" Look I'm sorry about that okay? I know you must feel weird about that" she mumbled, waiting for him to say something.
After a few more seconds he finally asked
" What were you going to answer for the last question? You don't have to tell me of course"
Ladybug blushed.
God this is just going to turn into a big blushing fest he thought while blushing himself.
Ignoring the fear in his chest he bravely said to her
" Look I know you may like someone else but please just know that I like you,I may even love you. So please understand that I would do pretty much everything for you,risk my life just to make you smile and will gladly give up my happiness if it means you get to keep yours. That's just how I feel about you."
He looked down. He didn't want to see her reaction.
Silence
Curousity got the best of him. He looked up.
Ladybug's eyes had turned to stars. She just stood there still.
Then she slowly leaned in and kissed him on the cheek.
That mere second of contact was enough to drive him insane for the rest of his life. But he held it together
He looked at her, blushing hard,to see she was doing the exact thing. He took a deep breath.

He placed his hands around her cheeks to make sure she stayed there and kissed her on the lips.
It was a soft kiss and he kept his hands gentle as to say that she could let go and he wouldn't mind.
But she didn't. In fact she kissed him back.
Her lips were warm and soft and felt like heavens touch. Chat felt blessed at that moment. Like nothing could go wrong.
It was nearing the end of the kiss but both didn't want to let go.
When they finally did they straight away looked at each other and smiled. No blushing.
Ladybug leaned closer and just a millimetre away from his mouth she whispered
" The answer to the Reporter's question was yes. I would love to go out with you"
Now Chat blushed" But I thought you didn't take my advances seriously"
Ladybug giggled,a nosie Chat loved
" That's because you never really asked or anything! I knew how you felt about I didn't know if you would ever ask!"
After another second they both laughed and kissed again.
This kiss was way better,they were both more confident now.
Chat broke apart and asked" Would you go out with me?"
They kissed again.
" Yes"
