Chapter One
Selena's Point Of View
Disowned. Unwanted. Hated.
The worlds seemed to echo in my mind in rythmic pattern with the falling rain drops.
My friend walked in and saw me staring at the window.
"My mom said you can stay for a week," she said quitely.
I nodded. I would have started crying if I talked.
My parents kicked me out of my house. They said they would pay for me to finish highschool... but then I'm on my own.
I knew why I could only stay a week. Because her mother didn't like me. At all. She though I was a bad influence on her precious Angel. Her real name was Cassie.
I wan't a bad influence, I just swore a lot and went to parties and that. And Cassie did too--her mom just wasn't aware of it.
I wasn't popular though. I could have been, maybe. But I tried to stay away from all that.
"I think I'm going to go for a walk," I said quietly.
Cassie nodded. "See ya, Sel."
I stood up and grabbed my dark black hoodie with purple skulls and then walked out of her bedroom and out of her house. I ignored her mother as I passed her and stepped out onto the streets.
The gentle drizzle dampened my sweatshirt as I walked around the town. I sat down and leaned up against a brick building, resting my head in my hands.
After a few minutes I looked up and stood up, only to be head-to-head with my worst enemy ever.
Adam.
I looked at him and held up my hand before he could even say anything. "Don't fucking mess with me today. I'm not in the mood."
He backed up a few steps. "Wow. Chill."
I almost wanted to growl at him for using that tone with me. I had a speech using colorful language all prepared, but then I just sighed. "Whatever," I said.
He pushed his dark black hair out of his eyes. I had to admit, he was very hot, but such a jerk.
There's so many irritating things he's done that I can't even name them all. At school he didn't really talk, but he was so cocky and annoying and just... UGH!
I turned away, and started walking back to Cassie's house.
"Where you going?" he asked.
"To a friends house," I answered, emotionlessly.
"Cassies?" he asked.
"Who else dip shit?" I asked, turning around and narrowing my eyes dangerously
He held up his hands. "I'm sorry," he said quietly.
"Whatever," I said again and continued walking.
"Let me walk with you!" he insisted.
"No," I said, tears filling my eyes. I didn't want to fight with anyone right now. "Just leave me alone. Please," I said, my voice cracking.
"Hey, are you okay?" he asked, running over and taking my hand.
I shook it off. "Does it look like it?" I asked.
"No.... what's wrong?" he asked.
"Why would I tell you of all people?" I demanded.
"Because maybe you just want to get it out," he suggested lightly.
