VANESSA RAMIREZ was a girl of many passions. She was a humanitarian, someone who prided herself on her intelligence and constantly growing creativity, and a person who hoped to make a difference in the world. The exact place that she knew she could make a difference at—just like the rest of her family—was at the Grid Battleforce Headquarters.
She knew that in order to achieve a high place in the Grid Battleforce Headquarters she'd need to be very skilled and informed. She needed to work her way up and prove herself to the others there, including her own sister, who still saw her as the adorable child who still needed to be protected.
Sure, she had connections, but that didn't matter much in the great scheme of things, especially since her family was so work-oriented. They would never just give things to her. She didn't want it that way either, even though she sometimes wished it could just be that easy. Heck, she had only just a few years ago moved to Coral Harbor with her sister when Josie got the job at the Headquarters.
So, Vanessa never expected to become a ranger before she had even finished high school, nevertheless at the expense of a dear friend of hers. Yet here she was, doing exactly that—but not by choice. Thanks to Evox, the world was once again in danger of being taken over by evil, and he had taken down 3 of the four chosen ranger candidates while he was at it.
Now, along with 3 other teens, she had to save the world—and her friends and family—before it was too late.
