You don't know what you have,
till it's gone.
I wish someone could have told me that.
I promise to be better! Please!
Can someone take me home?
Where I can lose some' off these shoulders.
Where I know I don't have to decide where I stand.
Where trouble ain't easy, I'll be good there.
Where there isn't this struggle.
Haven't I learnt my lesson yet?
I'm so sorry, so hungry.
Is this my fault? What did I do?
I can't remember home; love...
I feel like I'm lost, but i know these streets like the back 'f my hand.
I know there must have been a start; this must be the after birth. This what I'm meant to be?
I wanna go back, back home.
Must I beg? Who should I beg to?
Home. Wherever that may be.A/N:
Home is a tribute to those people who live on the streets and do about anything to get money for something to eat and drink, albeit it be a strong drink. To those people who are cold and hungry when you're inside your house all toasty and complaining about something you don't want to eat. (Not being rude, I'm part of that society.)
Home is about a young man, adolescent or younger, that was either kicked out of his house at a very young age or born on the streets and abandoned to fend for himself. This young man can't remember how life was, who he is, how he got where he is and why he is subjected to a life on the streets.
The boy is lost in the sense that he doesn't know what his destiny is; and he is struggling with who he is as a person. He's got a lot on his shoulders.
On the streets he joins 'gangs' to seek out food as a group. He gets into a lot of trouble and does a couple bad things, unintentionally of course as he doesn't know right from wrong.
In this gang, you follow the leader or get chucked out. Due to the rankings, a few fights occur easily. Everyone wants to be the leader of the pack in order to get a bigger sharing of everything.
This young boy dreams of going back home, of living life normally and being a normal boy. Happy. Loved. At home. He feels like he's under pressure and strain, he just wants to lose the weight off of his shoulders.
