I laughed out loud a little bit at the joke Oliver sent me, and struggled to hush myself to focus on my book work and let Kota sleep. On the weekends she liked to sleep in, and I didn't want to be a bother to her, she was not a morning person. I decided to set aside my work for now because I couldn't concentrate anyways, and Oliver texted me asking to hang out.
"Hey, I got to finish Christmas shopping, want to tag along?" Read his message.
"Of course!" I replied excitedly, I don't know why I was so excited, but I was. So I quickly got dressed into something cute and warm and headed out to the mall, where I met him in the food court. He wore the same sweater as yesterday, and it smelt of cologne, it was nice.
As we walked into Rue 21 I couldn't help but blurt out the question that had been lingering in my mind, "Who are you shopping for? If you don't mind my asking." He looked down to the floor for a moment with a strange smile on his face, he set the snow globe he held back on the shelf and said, "His name is Chris." He blushed a little and looked back to the snow globe.
"Awe! If you were wondering, I'm shopping for someone named Niall."
"You aren't a homophobe are you?" he asked, almost in a way as if he was mocking me.
"Of course not! I'm all for it, it's cool with me." I smiled at him and hoped he believed me, it was my honest opinion. He smiled in return and continued looking at the snow globe.
"You should get it." I say.
"What, this?" He motioned to the snow globe, and I nodded. He smiled at me and held on to the small snow globe, that could hold a photo inside, in his hand and we continued to look throughout the store. After about 20 minutes of walking from store to store, we pass a fancy dress shop and Oliver notices me admiring them.
"Which one is your favorite?" He said and looked at them with me. The dresses in the window were sparkling and long and gorgeous. I felt a twinge of sadness as I remembered how I never got to wear one of those beautiful dresses. I never had the nerve to go to homecoming, or prom. I didn't have friends to go with, other than Justin, who only wanted to stay home. No one at school was nice to him, so I just stayed home with him.
"Are we just going to stare at them or try them on?" Oliver broke into my piddy-party.
"Are you going to try them on too?" I answered.
"I've always wanted to know how I looked in a dress. My father is super against it, I was lucky he let me stay in the house. But now I do what I want, let's do it!" Be smiled brightly at me and grabbed my hand to pull me into the store. Inside was even more beautiful, it looked like a prom of manicans. Okay, it sounds creepy to say that, but it really looked like a ball. The store was decorated as if millions of dollars was put into it to make it beautiful, and I was in awe. Oliver, still holding my hand, pulled me along with him as he oo'ed and ahh'd over the dresses surrounding us, he was like a child at a candy store. After what felt like forever, Oliver had a dress for him and I picked out and he was pulling me over to the changing room. It was an open changing room, for both genders and no one monitoring it. So we walked up and down the aisles looking for empty rooms, but there was only one left.
"Do you want to go first?" I suggested.
"Let's just go in together!" He said, his mood was soaring much higher than mine. I took a moment, but decided to join him in the changing room, after all, he did have a boyfriend. When we were inside, I latched the door behind us and when I turned around Oliver already had his top off, and his bare back was exposed. He faced away from me, so I took the time to evaluate his back and stare in amazement. It was perfectly sculpted and chiseled. It was muscular, but not too muscular, and defined... It was quite beautiful really. After a few more minutes of drooling, I turned away to take off my clothing. My shirt and jacket laid on the floor next to his, and as I was pulling down my jeans, my phone began to ring. I pulled it out of my purse, and the caller ID showed it was a FaceTime from Niall. I hesitated to answer it, but Oliver winked at me to, so I did.
