Chapter 2: Barden Bellas and Treblemakers

Chapter 2: 

*****ADDIE'S POV***** 

A few weeks after the Activities Fair on my first day here at Barden, the time to auditions for the different a cappella groups has finally arrived. I've been hanging out with Fat Amy and Stacie in between classes and they told me that they were both going to audition for the Bella's. I was happy for them and promised them I would watch them audition. So, true to my word, I find myself in the very back of the auditorium to watch the auditions go on. I was patiently waiting in my seat for auditions to start when I received a text message from Jesse.

Jess :) :Hey, where r u?  

Adds <3 :At the back of the auditorium. Y? 

Jess :) :Arnt u gonna audition? 

Adds <3 :Jess, u knw I hate big crowds :( 

Jess :) :Cme on, please? 

Adds <3 :I dunno... 

Jess :) :I promise u it's gun be okay :) 

Adds <3 :Fine... Better be worth it though :P

After agreeing to audition, I made my way over to where he was seated beside Benjie and waved to where Amy and Stacie were. Suddenly, a thin guy accompanied by a larger guy walked on stage. The thin guy started to speak.

"For your audition, each of you will b singing sixteen bars of Kelly Clarkson's Since You've Been Gone. If a group likes you, they will contact you directly. My tone-deaf sidekick Justin here will be collecting your information." He gestured to the larger guy beside him.

"If I could sing a lick, in any human way possible, I would but I can't. And i hate myself everyday because of it!" Justin exclaimed before he stared handing out information sheets to us.

"I know. But if you think this is just some high school club, where you can sing and dance your way through any big social issue, or confused sexuality, you have come to the wrong place. There is none of that here. That's high school. This is shit is real life! Now, don't just bring it, sing it. And let's do this." He said before walking off. Wow. That guy must be pretty passionate about what he was doing. While I was filling up my form, I heard Bumper speak.

"Hey Bellas. Remember when you tried to play the big leagues and you choked? That should really be a lesson to everyone. If you sing the same boring girly shit every year, you will blow chunks. All over the place. Vomit everywhere." He said arrogantly.

"My fellow a-ca-people. We will not let egotistical, big-headed, garbage dirtballs, whoever you may be, get in our way. I promise you, we will return to the ICCAs and finish what we started last year." The one who looked like the leader of the Bellas replied.

"And here's our first one up. Good luck." The thin guy said bringing along a person wearing a gray cap which covered their hair.

"Whenever you're ready dude." The cutie from the Trebles said. The person cleared their throat and took off the cap revealing that she was a girl.

"Yeah, hi my name is Cynthia Rose." She spoke.

"Oh not a dude. It's not a dude." Cutie whispered to Bumper. Cynthia Rose started singing.

After Cynthia Rose a few more people who's names I could not recall went. Then it was Amy's turn. She went all out. After her, a girl who's voice I could barely hear went. Then Stacie came and though she was good, the hand gestures she made with her crotch and the grabbing of her breasts were definitely a distraction for the audience. I looked to where cutie was sitting and saw him paying close attention to Stacie's performance. I sighed inwardly. Yet another sign of an unrequited feeling from the opposite gender. A few more people went before Jesse was called up. He did amazing and I was damn proud of my big bro. A few more people and it was finally my turn. I nervously looked down on my outfit which consisted of a navy skirt which ended mid-thigh, a white blouse and blue wedges. I didn't expect auditioning at the last minute so I had no choice but to wear my less than decent outfit on stage. Great. Now everyone's gonna think I'm a hooker.
